We stayed here our first night in TZ this trip; stayed here a couple nights in Sept 2013 when I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. The facilities are top notch and the bed is super comfy. There are the little things that you should be ready for...like, verify you have enough towels...that you know how to operate your bathroom...that there are batteries...

I liked this place the rooms were good but needed am some refurbishing. The safe battery was low, did not want to risk putting valuables there. The wall had a water leak near the bathroom The carpet was dirty I paid some 120 usd for a night coz I had no option which I thought was pricey There are no...

The photos don't do justice to this hotel. This self-proclaimed 'neo-africanized' hotel is in fact done with style, and great rooms including the largest (comfortable) bed I've ever seen. Everything's clean, water pressure is good, the rooms have enough light and enough facilities both to work (convenient desk) and to enjoy some leisure (2 comfortable armchairs) as well as a...

This hotel seems grand and first impressions are certainly very good but I must say it was 1 of the strangest hotels i've stayed in. We stayed here twice (once before and once after our climb of kili). First visit: There was no electric when we arrived at 11am. It didn't come back on until 6:30pm. That meant no wifi,...

The SG Resort is clean and quiet. After a Kilimanjaro climb, it is fabulous to come to a clean room and a hot shower. But the SG is not perfect, and the management needs to keep up with some maintenance a bit better. The hot water in some rooms is erratic, so be sure to let the front desk know...

2nd time in Arusha. Last time i stayed at Mt Meru. But SG Resort is better! Large rooms. Plenty of Tv channels. Really nice and serviceminded staff. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The conference room really good. Only problem is the water pressure in the shower and the problems of controlling the water temperature in the shower. A nice jacuzzibath also...

I with 3 other friends stayed at this hotel because our tour company picked it for us for our 3 nights' stay while on a trekking trip up Kilimanjaro. The hotel has budget to mid-level amenities that are clean and good. The staff is keen and willing to help even at odd times. The rooms have relatively speaking new furnishings....

I have visited SG Hotel religiously (At least 10 times) for the last 3 years and steadily watched both the hotel and the service deteriorate. My last visit was from August 13th to 16th 2015. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. On our last couple of visits we have had to ask to switch rooms on the night...

The climbing company I chose for Kilimanjaro put me up in this hotel for 2 nights before and after the climb. I felt safe there as a solo female traveller. The food was fine (had fried chicken and fries), the internet worked well enough to download books and movies, there was hot water, the room was clean, the bed was...
