We spend several nights here in Aug 2016 prior to joining our safari with Thomson Safaris. Lovely property, friendly and helpful staff, and great, rustic-style accommodations. This was our first visit to Africa (we flew in from Amsterdam), and couldn't have been more impressed with the hospitality we were shown. We took an afternoon guided visit to the village of...

The service - no matter if restaurant, room service, food, management - everything was always perfect.- Only sometimes we had to wait a bit long for just some little things in the restaurant (some extra glasses, an ashtray etc.) . - The location as such is very relaxing and pitoresque.: All the rooms are different and all of them have...

Loved this place, only wish I had been able to spend more than one night. This place is in a beautiful setting. Such a peaceful way to start a long trip into the Serengeti...and after a long flight from the states. So peaceful, rooms are gorgeous in a park like setting. I woke up, walked out my door to go...

Perfect! I thought I was just booking my "layover" hotel but I could of stayed here for days. Beautiful lush grounds, walking trails, large tasteful rooms, swimming pool and amazing Pizza! There's plenty to do in and around Arusha and organized day trips, you should take advantage if you have any extra day or 2. If not it makes a...

Rivertrees is a lovely country inn, with beautiful grounds and comfortable bungalows tucked into the foliage. It has an inviting entrance and lounge, beautiful open-air dining spaces, and friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the bathrooms are luxurious. If possible, plan to take some time just to enjoy it rather than coming in at night and...

Spent a night here in preparation immediately before embarking on a safari. Was delighted to be escorted to a lovely bungalow with fresh flowers and full amenities. Dinner that night was served at an open air dining hall. Wine, dinner and cocktails were available. The rooms are very comfortable and the added plus of breakfast included the following morning. We...

Our first and last night in Arusha were spent at the Rivertrees Country Inn. The grounds are lush. Big beautiful trees often noisy with monkeys shade the property. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a stream that runs near by.

Our travel agent's original itinerary had us arriving at Rivertrees at 11pm and leaving to go on safari at 6am the following morning but when we saw the details of the accommodation and grounds we decided it would be a great place to stay for an extra 24 hours to unwind from our journey. The best decision ever ! We...

We stayed in the Rivertrees coming and going from our safari. I might be the best game in town as Arusha appeared to have little else to offer at this level. The staff was working hard to please and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms have no phones. clocks or a/c. they did have ceiling fans, but they...

Like most people , we used this hotel after our international flight late arrival to sleep over night ,before taking our early morning flight to the Serengeti the next morning . We were not so please with our brief stay. We decided to come back anyway to spend the day on our return trip. As we had 9 hours to...
