Welcome was friendly. Cabins are away from central Inn so the flashlight with which to return was helpful along the dimly-lit paths. Service was slow, but friendly. Accommodations were spacious.all in all, a throwback in time and place---very peaceful setting with good food.

We stayed at Rivertrees on arrival in Tanzania before trekking kilimanjaro. This was the perfect start to our trip. The hotel is in an idyllic location with comfortable rooms and excellent food. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night after our 11days safari. It is not very close to the city center. But its location is very peaceful. The inn is surrounded by a garden full of trees. Very nice environment. You can walk around and take some photos. We totally have a rest while staying there. The restaurant is very good. You must...

It is hard to give justice to a hotel when one is only there for 14 hours! We had absolutely no complaints. The staff were very welcoming, pleasant, and efficient. Our room was large, comfortable and everything worked. With all the dark wood and furnishing, it was rather gloomy, accentuated by the lateness of our arrival and early departure. The...

Liked the restaurant! Set in a beautiful garden, with a small river. We had lovely pizza's after a guided cyclingtour. Also a very nice roadtrip (trough a little town called USA ;) from our Hotel Arusha Villa.

My wife and I stayed at Rivertrees Country Inn for 2 nights after arriving from Kilimanjaro airport and before flying on to northern Serengeti from Arusha airport. The accommodation is wonderful, the restaurant excellent and the service first class. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful setting in extensive grounds full of birds and away from the turmoil of Arusha near the...

Rivertrees served as a one night stay over as we transitioned from Kenya and were heading out on safari in Tanzania. The property itself is lovely to walk around. Very lush landscape and entertaining monkeys in the trees. The room was very spacious and beautiful! There were nice touches, such as rose petals thoughfully sprinkled around the room/bathroom. I only...

We stayed at Rivertrees Country Inn at both the beginning and end of our safari vacation. It was a welcomed relief when we arrived, and restful before our departure. Nice, quiet and comfortable. You feel like you are in the country, but are really surrounded by the city. Each cottage looks like something you would find in the Irish countryside;...

I visited this place for just one night. I planned to arrive around 3pm and asked the hotel to arrange a short afternoon safari to Arusha National Park around the corner. They did an excellent job in arranging this. My flight to Arusha got cancelled and instead I flew to another airport but they quickly changed their pickup point while...

This was early July. We arrived at Rivertrees Lodge after about a 30 minute drive from JRO airport. As you enter the property, you realize that you are entering a paradise. We were greeted warmly, and were quickly provided with some chilled fruit juice. Our luggage were put on wooden wheelbarrows and brought to our cottage. Here we were greeted...
