Note: The Bay Leaf has recently been renamed The Eight. Truly a home away from home. Nice leafy setting but convieninet to a couple of major roads. Also close enough to the center of town that I could easily walk there. I stayed in a couple of the larger rooms and both were very nice. Bathrooms were good size and...

The resturant and hotel recently changed management and has a new name is Eight. The management is fantastic and the food is the best you will have in Arusha. The setting is absolutely beautiful. You will enjoy your meal and I am looking forward to staying with them. A must try in Arusha!!

The Bay Leaf was a good surprise for me. Really nice cosy hotel where you will feel at home. The service is good and the rooms are well decorated and very spacious. The Plus is the restaurant, the food is good and the choice of drink is also good. Definitely a place to pass by.

what a delight this hotel seemed on first viewing, a little oasis we thought and our room, well it was gorgeous . Very large suite, stylishly decorated beautiful bathroom ( although a proper shower would have been nice) and pleasant gardens outside. So why would I give such a mediocre rating? It started at check in, the young man on...

After the hustle and bustle of Arusha Town, some time out at the Bay Leaf was a real treat. It's a peaceful place, with a wonderful ambiance. The rooms are nicely appointed and the attention to detail is very good. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive, without being obtrusive. The food is great (including excellent coffee) and...

We stayed 2 nights before and one after our climb to Kilimanjaro and I have to say it was the perfect choice for us. The rooms were lovely, very nice decorated, big, clean, with comfortable beds. Such a good hot shower and sleep after Kilimanjaro. The staff was very attentive (in our first night there it was a party in...

After camping in the Serengeti park we looked for an expensive hotel to wash and relax before going home. We were a bit surprised that we were the only guest staying in the hotel. First surprise that there was no hot water to shower. After we questioned it they switched on the boiler. But it took very long to heat...

Given most people must stay here only one night at either the start of their safari, end or both...the Bay Leaf is an excellent choice. The room was lovely (very big, great shower), the food nice and the service excellent. All in a great choice when in Arusha.
