We stayed 5 days at the Kiboko Lodge. A very special place with a magnificent view on Mount Meru. Worthwhile mentioning is the excelent service of the boys from Watoto Foundation. They made our stay to a very special experience. We will be back! Anjo & Will

The lodge is uniquely situated close to a real African village Ngurdoto. My title text is inspired by the Child in the Stars Centre for street children, part of the Watoto Foundation that also runs the Kiboko Lodge. The warm welcome, the great hospitality of the manager Frank and his staff made my stay a memorable one. During my stay...

Tucked away at the foot of Mt Meru, just outside of Arusha, is this gem. My partner and I enjoyed two nights here ... the bandas are comfortable, the food very good, and best of all it supports the Watoto Foundation - giving jobs and training to young boys that would otherwise be displaced. A stellar place to stay.

The idea of reformed street boys hosting us was enough to get me there. I was hooked after I visited the Wototo foundation, their work is impressive, The lodge has the same hallmark of customer service and striving for satisfaction for all, the staff the guests, the hippos. Pity the lake, during our stay was almost unseen as it was...

Great purpose and help for the street children to be trained and given jobs. The location is wonderful with amazing amounts of birds to watch, especially morning and evening. We have been to this lodge twice and both times the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. The food is delicious, the rooms are actually very sweet little houses and all look out to the grasslands and a view of Meru. The best thing about this place is the birds. They swoop and fly and fill the air with sounds....

This was the first stop for us on our honeymoon/safari, and the only one we specifically requested. The staff here are "street boys" who are trained in hospitality, and some of the profits from the lodge go to supporting a school and helping other "street boys". This seemed like a cool venture to support. After a dusty drive along the...
