In august we visited Kiboko Lodge together with my 2 sons, 13 & 15 years old. We had a fantastic time, as the staff at Kiboko Lodge are all young men, my sons really liked that. Specially my young one shared many stories. The atmosphere and the campfire it was lovely. The highlight was the visits to the Street Children...

My husband and I have lived in Tanzania over two years. We first visited Kiboko Lodge last year when his sister visited us from America. It was a pleasant visit. I always knew that one day I would need a quiet, secluded place, not far away for a personal retreat. I decided to return to Kiboko Lodge. It was a...

Kiboko Lodge is definitely worth a stay when arriving in Arusha. It not only supports a great project but also offers comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price. The location is superb, quiet and at a convenient distance from the national park. The food is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also worth is a guided walk...

We enjoyed spending 3 nigths at the Kiboko Lodge. This lodge is closely connected to the project supporting street kids. We visited the project as well. The boys work at the lodge, service is excellent!

Kiboko Lodge is an accommodation one would like to rate "Excellent" for many of its features, but may not accurately do so. Its overarching problem is its location and access road. For visitors to Arusha National Park the lodge is located over 4k southeasterly down a rugged side road from the park's Ngongongare Gate. Accessing the lodge essentially requires 4WD...

The Watoto Foundation Team have worked long and hard to get this place running. The young men (all ex street kids) actually BUILT the lodge, and the furniture, and plumbed it, did the electricity....so this is the result of people getting skills, focus, and their lives back on track. The lodge is not just a worthy feelgood excuse. It's actually...

A peaceful place with fantastic views over the swamp and the sound of birds and frogs. The rooms are semi detached huts all set a fair away apart so you are not overlooked. Breakfast was taken in the tea room reached at the end of a timber walkway. We felt sorry for the boys having to carry everything down in...

Kiboko is a small lodge in close proximity to Arusha and Arusha National Park. What distinguishes it are several things..first, it's remote and a great place to either recover or prepare for a safari; second, it is intimate with walkways and a sitting cupola that invites sunset coffee visits; third, the food is terrific..but, the most outstanding feature is the...

Hello! Me and my friend stayed at the Kiboko Lodge in March for 2 days and enjoyed it a lot. One night we were sitting at the fire place with a few people of the staff and the Maasai guards, playing the guitar and chatting. and the rest of the time we were relaxing in the tea room with a...

Kiboko Lodge is part of the Watoto Foundation, founded by former retail director Noud and Truus van Hout from The Netherlands. The foundation works to educate street children in Tanzania since 2003.
