We stayed at Christina House at the beginning and end of a safari holiday. The house is set in a beautifully tended garden that has just enough of a jungle feel to make it seem much more secluded than it really is.
Architecturally, the house...More

I did not find Christina's House noisy, based on extensive travel in Africa (East and West), I When I was there with students in June, the road was not finished and so there was heavy equipment around. Finished road should actually produce less noise. Christina House comprises a compound with a high wall and thick vegetation, providing insulation from the street.
The accommodations are lovely and the owner and staff are warm and engaging. For many of my students, the stay at Christina House was the highlight of their 3 weeks in East Africa. And the food is fabulous.
