We have been there just one night but it was more than enough: in one room we found escrements (gieko or mouse...who knows?), no water in the pipes (we had to climb and ask to the reception to open, they don't have telephones in the room to communicate). Mosquito nets with holes and, best of the best... the Manager that... More

Dear Stefano, I am very sorry about your complete dissatisfaction with Kigongoni Lodge. During our talk I already agreed with you that these issues should not occur for which I did apologize, and offered you complementary drinks during your stay. But maybe at the time you were too tired and upset. As you must be aware our staff fixed the... More

Lovely location on a hillock just outside Arusha. Quiet, private and safe. Beautiful relaxing tropical gardens around the chalets and a nice looking pool. On the day we were there no views because it was cloudy. The chalets are large detached with giant comfortable beds. Good facilities with shower, bath, safe, etc. No wifi in the rooms. The restaurant food... More

This lodge was a great start to our trip. Located 30+ mins from Kilimanjaro Airport and on the way to Tarangerie. The staff was very accommodating even though we arrived late at night. Made sure to get us food and water upon arrival. Rooms are very clean and the whole place sets a great vibe for a trip to Tanzania.

This is a charming hotel situated in a coffee plantation, on top of a hill with lovely views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru. Hotel is 40-45 minute drive from Kilimanjaro airport. The rooms were spacious, spotless, quiet, surrounded by gardens and had private balconies with a view of the valley below and mountain beyond. Beds and linens were comfortable. The... More

I visited the Kigongoni lodge in the summer of 2015 with my family. I've enjoyed my stay very much. There was a great variaty of safaris to do. We went to Arusha National park, Tarangire and Serengeti. Each was different to the others in terms of animals seen and also the surroundings. Every day you see something new. The lodge... More

The grounds at the Lodge are just too beautiful to describe. The rooms are plain, but who cares? You should be spending your time outside by the pool or walking around. We especially enjoyed the care and attention from Francis Hezron! He is special!
