Loved the location (in the city), the staff were friendly, room was clean and breakfast was reasonable...will definitely come back when I visit Arusha. Looked like there used to be a bar at the roof top, not sure if there are plans to open it in future?

Been all around Tanzania, slept at different places in various conditions. This was a really nice place to rest and enjoy. It's not that expensive, you can eat relatively good there, rooms are kept clean, it's near the bus station and it has a WiFi connection. Staff is really kind, Tanzania style. If I ever visit this town again I'll...

I stayed in this hotel a night before safari (#108) and a night after (#310). It has central location and a modern building. Manager Patrick was very friendly and allowed me using his office (computer) for booking my flight. There were a few issues with amenities. Lift (elevator) doesn't work, remember, Room#108 is actually on third floor and #310 on...

The hotel is quite modern and was a little difficult to find because there was no sign outside! They gave us two single rooms on the fourth floor. Price of a room with breakfast was US$40 (locals only pay $25). The lift wasn't working. WiFi was only available in the bar/restaurant but it worked well enough. I had a corner...

We stayed in this hotel before and after our safari in August 2014. The room was clean and tidy although none of the amenities worked properly. Shower wasn't always hot and water got everywhere. Restaurant was incredibly slow, took over an hour to get our dinner which was burnt and not as described on the menu. The bar on the...

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed at. We booked it for the night before and the night after the safari to National parks and right when we walked in the room we already regretted. In the 1st room we had: no 2nd towel, no trashcan, no tv working, broken curtains, cold room. The "great" thing about it is...

I had a nightmare in the two nights that I stayed at Joshmal Hotel. They have a pub on the terrace with extremely loud music until late at night (0200hrs)- let alone the intoxicated crowd making noise. I explained the problem to the manager and staff but they didn't bother to help. IF YOU WANT A GOOD HEADACHE, THEN JOSHMAL...

We are a couple and we have stayed at the Joshmal Hotel before an early bus departure in June 2013. It was the best place to be as it is near the central bus station in Arusha. The price are very good value, the room in spick-and-span and offer a great view on Mount Meru and Arusha town. It is...
