I was very impressed by the character and charm of this hotel, with its lush and well-tended gardens and colonial feel. The rooms are not luxurious, but comfortable. My biggest problem was the poor internet connection, despite being branded by the usually fast and reliable Raha name. I heard other guests saying they would not stay there again because of...

The Arusha hotel is the oldest hotel in town (120 years). In the distant past, it hosted luminaries like US-president Theodore Roosevelt, the author Ernest Hemingway and the Prince of Wales. In the course of time, the hotel has been renovated and extended several times. The hotel’s prime attraction is its superb location smack-bang in the middle of town close...

A really comfortable hotel right in the centre of Arusha. The rooms are large with good facilities, and the restaurant overlooking the garden serves very good meals. Staff are helpful and friendly, even when you arrive late at night! For a city hotel, it has character and atmosphere. I would definitely choose this hotel again.
