Si Mbaya.... Swahili for not bad! So the New Safari Hotel in Arusha is not bad but neither is it on the very good side. The good thing about the hotel are: 1. The rooms - clean, specious and comfortable. 2. Internet Connection well above average. 3. The staff very friendly. On the low side the leading one is a...

Excellent location in city center, clean nice rooms, very friendly staff. Not a tourist hotel but very good value. Food is OK only. Near very interesting museum and some night life. I have stayed several times and it is reliable with very helpful staff.

I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed my stay. It does not offer much of luxury but it is comfortable place. It would be recommended for business travellers. I also enjoyed the pizza from the downstairs restaurant. They should consider upgrading things like the corridor carpets though. The Wi-Fi was also quite weak.

Had a pleasant surprise when I walked into my room from a long day in Arusha. The mosquito canopy was brought down by the staff. Was actually trying to figure out how I could bring it down earlier and thankfully it was done for me. Room was cool although I could hear the noise from outside, mostly conversation by the...

After the bad experience at Mc Ellys hotel we checked in at New Safari Hotel. Water is a major problem, water stopped while showering 😂called reception and I was told to wait 10 minutes and it will be ok. After 10 minutes nothing changed. Service also sub standard. For $100 a night one can find something much better in Arusha.

I have stayed at the New Safari many times since 2008. It is important to know that as a single American female who has traveled to TZ many times, I feel the New Safari is one of my homes. While my first trip was nerve-racking (not at all about the hotel, but the stark contract to the American culture), the...

My experience with the Staff at the hotel makes me long to go back visiting soon. It is located in a central part of the town, walking distance to the AICC, banks, Bureau de changes etc. Right from the time from the Front Desk Staff to the Kitchen/Restaurant Staff, the Housekeepers etc, everyone was helpful, wonderful people I must say....

This hotel and it's neighbor palace hotel have exceptionally bad customer service and fraudulent practices. I would not recommend this hotel. There are many others to pick from in arusha with much better customer service.

I was in Arusha for a conference and just needed somewhere central for a couple of nights. It lacks the glamour and little touches of the chain hotels but the bed was clean, there's someone on reception 24/7, the aircon worked well, there was good internet access, and plenty of hot water. What more do you need? The breakfast wasn't...
