The rooms and pool were great and the staff was very friendly. We stayed two nights at the lodge before our trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro and then the night after. Our only disappointment was that the food choices were very western- we were really hoping to get some authentic Tanzanian food while visiting.

We had a 3-days meeting at Ilboru Safari Lodge and it was great! Good customer service (friendly and quick), excellent food, great conference hall with workshop materials, timely tea breaks and nice comfy rooms. Even though we had to work long hours it felt like being in heaven: enjoying the beautiful garden and the lounche spots next to the pool!

This place is a great hotel to relax at before and after your safari (or before or after climbing Kilimanjaro). The staff is fabulous and the pool is refreshing. Very good place to relax at while in Arusha.

Ilboru Safari lodge is down a short dirt road, which was under construction when we arrived. The compound is isolated and quiet. I stayed in a hut that was interesting in that it was circular and each guest had half of it. The good: Quiet. Good food. Full bar. good mosquito nets, pretty pool, nice staff The not so good:...

I spent 2 nights at Ilboru between safari and climbing Kilimanjaro. I found it very comfortable, with good food and friendly, helpful staff. Lovely self contained bungalows in lovely grounds. I would recommend it.

Basic rooms, most uncomfortable toilet I have ever encountered - impossible to sit on properly. No toiletries apart from bars of soap. 2 small water bottles between two adults insufficient. Poor wifi - no televisions in rooms so lack of wifi was an issue. Located a fair distance from town centre. Good gift shop in hotel, poolside area is quite...

This lodge has many private guest rooms. Our room was spacious with a little porch to enjoy the evening weather. The grounds of the property are full of beautiful trees and flowers. Our stay was short so we didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. And the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

We absolutely loved this place!! Owner, manager and other staff were all very nice. We stayed for four nights (instead of the intended one night :) in total and we felt we became a little part of the family. The owner went above and beyond to help us out with booking a trip to Zanzibar and Mafia Island. The only...

Staff were friendly and reception was great. We stayed here two nights - before and after our safari in Tanzania and they stored extra items for us in a locked room, which was appreciated. However, there was no coffee available in our room, the lobby or the little reading room off the lobby. You had to climb steep stairs to...

“The rooms are pretty plain jane. Though there was a comfortable queen bed with mosquito netting and a small desk, other furniture was scarce, e.g. no chair or sofa and there was nowhere in the bathroom to put any toiletries, not even a toothbrush. Only two bottles of water provided per day and they were the smallest of any of the places we stayed over three weeks. There were two deck chairs but no table to put between them, and you couldn't use them in the evening due to bugs. ”
