This nearly rated 5 star from me as it is a lovely place, excellent location on the beach, good big room, good facilities, great breakfast and nice grounds. We really enjoyed our stay. There were some niggles that made it miss the top 5 stars, which were: 1) More loungers by the beach would be good as that would avoid...

Went in late Dec. 2016 - early Jan. Hotel: 1 hr. from airport via van. Rooms are air conditioned. If you get a bungalow near the garden pond (stagnant water always breeds misquitoes) --- be SURE to bring a misquito net. We fought bugs and misquitos every night. Carry misquito repellant with you everywhere you go (recommend Sketolene). Bed comfort...

We had a great 3 night stay at Andamania. The room was a spa room. Huge room, 2 big beds, living area, large bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea. The pool was lovely and we spent a lot of time there. The restaurant for breakfast is close to the beach, you can sit outside overlooking the sea. The breakfast food...

This is a very calm place, with probably the best beach - we took a walk as of Khao Lak national park and ours was the nicest, no rocks or shells. The room was very spacious, beautiful, nice clean bathroom with tube and shower. There were mosquitoes in the evening, so be prepared if you want to sit outside, and...

Worst hotel experience in Thailand. In 6 days there was at least 7 power cuts. At no time was there any warning, notification or explanation given for the apparent ongoing problem. The road into the hotel was unmade and resembled a dirt track. The track into the hotel was full of puddles and potholes. The perimeter grounds round the outskirts...

It's nearly there but several things let it down. Apart from the beds it was difficult to relax on your terrace due to poorly thought out deck chairs. The gardens, which were lovely, needed some attention and various paths finishing off properly. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was kept spotlessly clean. There was a slight underlying...

Me and my friend stayed here for a weekend. The staff is really nice and polite. The twin room that we had was incredibly huge, awesome balcony and comfy beds. Bathroom is spacious and cool, but missing cleanliness, rusty showers and muddy sink. Resort has a little bit of maintenance process on, but no really disturbing. Breakfast is a modest...

This "resort" is very basic. It is right on the beach and has a large pool plus a few villas have their own small pools. The restaurant looks like an open hut sort of fixture, and not really inviting. I stayed next door at the JW Marriott, and of course, there is NO comparison, but if you like a basic holiday...

We stayed at Andamania in late April 2016. got a Grand Deluxe Jacuzzi room. This hotel has its own private beach about 2 minutes walking distance from JW Marriott. We consider this is the most beautiful and quiet beach in Khao Lak. The beach is gradually sloped making it ideal for swimming. No noisy beach activity. There are always plenty...
