You need to be picked up to get there..not an easy road. But a stunning setting on a hillside overlooking valleys with rice terraces. Roos. Very simple..each with own verandah and gorgeous woven bamboo hammock. But be warned the restaurant is at the top and the paths to the room steep..so a little difficult at night. Not good if have... Great service-We were picked up from our hotel in chiang rai and taken up (and down) the hills to this special place. Nok is a great host (and cook, and driver 😉) and Noi the best guide! He knows 'everything' - feel free to ask 😉 Bungalows - made of bamboo -are basic but very clean. Loved the view. Loved... More

We had the most incredible experience staying at Bamboo Nest. Nong and Noi are the most gracious hosts and the bamboo bungalows are incredible! The food is delicious as well, we had the BBQ fish which was amazing! We also did a day trekking with Noi. This was an amazing authentic experience. We went all through the jungle, cooked a... More

This was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities of Thailand. The bungalows were basic, very clean - all that we needed. And the views from the entire property were amazing! Nok, the owner was kind, informative and attentive. The food was fantastic. Great hiking. We made some great new friends here. If you're looking for... More

Definitely a highlight of our trip. Stay in a bamboo hut, with solar power, a balcony and hammock overlooking rice fields and mountains. There's many tours and walks available and DELICIOUS food for all meals at a good price. Would definitely stay here again. Also really enjoyed the adventurous trip in the 4WD from the bus station to the accommodation.

My husband and I traveled to Thailand and pretty much planned our travel along the way. We were having to check out of a hotel in Ayutthaya and were looking for our next destination. We read a paragraph about Bamboo Nest in our Lonely Planet book, called up to see if they had an open hut, and jumped on the... More

This was probably my favorite experience in all of Thailand. If you are looking to unwind in a beautiful setting, Wi-Fi and distraction free for a few days, this is your place. The proprietors, Nok and Noi, could not be more delightful. Professional and fun to spend time with (you must take a jungle tour w/ Noi where he cooks... More

It is not luxurious but it is original and different. We enjoyed some time with great views and nice people. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff was really helpful: we use the place as a headquarters to travel the region.

I spent 4 nights and really enjoyed it. It is a great place to disconnect and relax. Food is good. It is adequate if you can skip amenities and enjoy basic life. Each cabin has its own bathroom, with hot water, but no major comfort. They have activities like trekking, and some can be done by yourself! I would recommend... More
