I only can confirm many of the information posted by earlier guests. A reception desk is available, but not occupied. The two friendly young housekeeping girls are also running check-in/ -out, if the can hear the bell that you should ring. Breakfast in the entrance area by selfservice is only toast, jam, bananas and coffe. Rooms are ok, but ‘hot’...

I wouldnt make a thing bout going to the clock tower but you won't miss it as Chiang Rai is small. Find out the times when it lights up and it will be worth it. Around the corner they have good burgers in a truck called San Fran or something like that!

I don't normally stay at budget hotels, but a friend of mine booked one in Chiang Mai for a ridiculous $15 a night, so I thought I'd try one. Ok, so it's not the Grand Hyatt, but this property has a fabulous location, close to great restaurants, the night bazaar and the bus station. The room was very clean; I...

There were little beetles in the bed when we arrived and large ants kept falling out of the light into the bed. Breakfast was self-serve toast and barely-warm water for making your own instant coffee. The bed had a cheap plastic-y blanket. Good location, shower, aircon & bed. Most of staff have no English and the manager spoke some English...

Location wise this place is good, but apart from that I wouldn't recommend it. I stayed here for 12 nights and there was no hot water. The problem is there's no point complaining as the staff speak no English whatsoever, except for one word- 'money'. They know how to ask for that! My room was cleaned only 4 times in...

The good - reasonably priced - well located - one of the staff members was very helpful and pleasant The bad - one staff member very unfriendly - had booked a family room with request to have a balcony if possible (knew some rooms had balconies but didn't know if this included family rooms) ..arrived and we were in a...

We stayed here for one night (thankfully) in a 'superior' room. The first thing that greeted us was the immense heat in the room, it was almost unbearable. The room did have air conditioning but it was still incredibly difficult to sleep. Following this, a rather large cockroach came out to play which was rather off-putting. This, coupled with the...

When we had arrived at the hotel we still needed to pay. After a lot of hand gestures and writing down numbers we had it sorted. They do not speak very good English. Once they had our money for the room that was it. We did not get another hello unless we forced their eyes to meet ours. They aren't...
