Many travelers commend the Fishermen’s Harbour Urban Resort for its cleanliness and central location near Patong Beach, though some have raised concerns about room cleanliness and allocation. While the atmosphere is generally praised for its charm and the rooms for their spaciousness, the value proposition has been questioned due to hidden charges and strict rules. Guests' opinions are mixed regarding amenities and service, with some enjoying the breakfast and friendly staff, but others pointing out inconsistencies in service quality and pool facilities.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel!
Rooms: I was surprised at how large the room was. The bed was comfortable, a few English movie channels on TV, and very clean!
We stayed in building N and none of the balconies seemed to have patio furniture. Not a big deal to us, I'm sure if you asked they'd bring you some. We also never found it too noisy, it was like we were all alone in the building.
Had a view of the ocean. It was nice, but the water is pretty far so it's nothing reaaallly special in my opinion. Wouldn't spend the money to upgrade.
Resort: 2 pools, seemed like a chill pool and a "drinking" pool with the swim-up bar. Sometimes we were unable to find a seat, so we just left our towels and stayed in the pool. The pricing at the swim-up bar and poolside restaurant was fair. Not trying to charge you an arm and a leg just to stay on the resort.
Lots of greenery! I enjoyed the scenery walking around and laying around the pool.
Wifi worked well, nice and fast around the entire resort.
Staff: All the staff were friendly! Chef Lam was such a nice man, he went out of his way to accommodate us when we were having some stomach issues (not related to their food). Housekeepers and bar staff were lovely. Front desk staff can seem a bit rushed even when no one is there, but friendly nonetheless. There is security staff, we were never asked to show a room key or confirm our stay. It's a super touristy area and we felt safe despite the lax security check.
Location: Close to a market, restaurants, 7/11's, etc. We walked to Bangla one night and it was about 30 minutes, the mall there is about 20 minutes.
Breakfast: Even though I loved this resort we booked online and paid for breakfast. DON'T DO THIS! Breakfast is free! I think they only charge you $5-10 online, but it's totally unnecessary.
Breakfast had a good range of foods. It can get busy but never had an issue grabbing a clean table.
Overall, would definitely visit here again!

Amazing hotel which provides free transport to patong beach as well as jungceylon shopping centre. Despite the fact that the shuttle bus is non air conditioned, it’s not a big deal since it is free.

Few minutes walk away from Malin Plaza. Underrated shopping heaven, as compared to other more popular choices such as Bangla Walking Street. Food was also cheaper there compared to other places.

Receptionist were relatively polite and helpful. 1000THB deposit required. Free wifi, with a reasonably strong connection. Booked a double deluxe room, inclusive of a balcony, and it was rather spacious. Swimming pool, spa and gym were all available.

Adequate facilities. Enjoyed our stay there.

Great location right next to the market and only a 5 minute walk from Patong beach and a 25/30min walk to Bangla road.

The resort it’s self is very pleasing on the eye and hygienic.

Staff are super friendly and helpful also.

Only negatives, the pool is beautiful but not the biggest space for the size of the hotel as well as there being a lack of loungers.

The breakfast isn’t the best either so would advise going to the market where you can get many meals for 100B (£2.50ish).

There are meals available all day also room service at certain times but can run quite costly in comparison to the food market across the road.

Overall a great stay and would fully recommend.

We stayed here 17 days. Everything seems like fine in the beginning, but it turned out to be an unpleasant experience.

First, they really need to either improve the screening of guests or the security system. We had many sleepless nights due to the poor sound proofing wall. Guests here usually come here with large tour groups, they made lots of noises. Especially, there was one night, a bunch of guys were drunk, and made noises on the corridor for over 1 hour. Hotel security didn’t even come to have a look till I called them. I understand this is a large resort, but anyone can enter and exit the building with a ease. We didn’t feel safe here.

Second, the resort looks nice on the photo, but it is not well maintained in reality. The breakfast is always super super crowded with large poor quantities of food. Both indoor and outdoor sitting are very dirty, especially pigeon’s poo all over the places outside.

The location is very good adjacent with night market and walking distance to the beach and various restaurants. And the price is very cheap for its location.

I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews bit unfortunately our stay at this hotel left me with nothing positive to say. We stayed here for 6 nights over new years and from the beginning it was terrible.

On checking in , our room was not properly cleaned. There were hairs left all over the room and bathroom and it took two attempts to actually get them to clean it properly. We had a "mountain view" balcony which actually overlooked a construction site and had no furniture. When I requested a table and chairs for our balcony I was told no as they are in the process of removing all balcony furniture. Eventually after arguing that every other room had a table and chairs they supplied a table and one chair. I'm not really sure I've stayed anywhere that doesn't include a table and chairs on the balcony. The other issue was the shower. The water was a filthy yellow colour that came out of it some evenings.

When we booked our stay we chose to include breakfast. This actually seems like a scam as when we went for breakfast there was nobody there to check your room number and it seems it was included anyway. Breakfast was also a disaster. There was food everywhere and if you go for breakfast anywhere past 9.30 there is very little restocked and if you want a hot drink , they run out of mugs and give out tiny paper cups which I don't believe is acceptable is a so called 5* hotel. Breakfast was definitely catered for an Asian clientele and it seems the staff can't cope with the demand.

We had also confirmed on booking that our booking included access to the NYE gala. This was confirmed several times yet on NYE we were told it wasn't included and that we would have to pay and extra $100aud each if we wanted to end . They refused to acknowledge all of our confirmation emails and were incredibly unhelpful and unapologetic.

Unfortunately I would suggest to avoid this hotel. It is far from a 5* hotel even for Thai standards. The hotel itself has the potential to be a nice hotel but the services and staff let it down. The pool area is lovely but way too small for the size of the hotel. The reception area is chaotic. The staff were rude and unhelpful and anything we asked was met with a no instead of trying to find a solution. We had a high expectation of this hotel from reviews prior to booking although it now seems that this reviews were not legit as trip advisor is looking into it. Had we read any recent legit reviews we definitely would not have stayed here especially given the cost too.

Firstly this is NOT a 5 star hotel. Realistically and possibly generously a 4 star at best. The pool area and swim up bar are nice. But I would avoid if you are a sun worshipper as the high rise buildings mean you only get the sun until about 1pm, and you need to be up early to get the sun beds directly next to the pool bar. I was a little disappointed with the attitude of the staff, we asked for our broken safe to be fixed or replaced 3 times before it was completed. My other half rang up for room service one night at 9.45pm for me one night I wasn’t very well (menu in room says open until 12am midnight), the receptionist just replied with “no room service” and hung up the phone. You should never hang up the phone on paying guests. The rooms are nice. And the balconies are a nice touch. The shower is lovely; however we didn’t have hot water for 4 days of our stay, when I asked at reception I was told “too many guests, water now set at 30’C maximum.” I don’t even think they were that warm and a 5 star hotel should be able provide hot water as a minimum. On Christmas Day my mum tried to ring reception for an ice bucket. And no one answered. She went down and reception told her they couldn’t help as “they had 700 guests in the dining room for breakfast”. Again this is rude. We might have not been in the dining room for their Xmas breakfast but we are still paying guests. The hotel could also use a lick of paint and some TLC. Despite being fairly new there is damage to the decking, the paint is chipped in the room. On New Year’s Eve they removes all the sun beds from the pool from the morning without any prior warning to the guests so they could set up for the New Year’s Eve gala. And on New Year’s Day the sun beds hasn’t been returned so on our last day to catch some rays we had to sit on normal chairs. The hotel was very noisy! The staff starting room cleaning at 7.30am every morning on our floor. And we were woken up nearly every morning by banging in the corridor. There also appeared to be a large number of guests at the hotel arrive at the same time and there wasn’t enough staff to cope with the demands. The WiFi is free but intermittent. And drops out every so often. Overall impression, location good, facilities and management need improving

Here for 7 nights, the hotel is very tired looking, , reception very small, but does look like another area used to be the reception which is being refurbished, the rooms are large, beds really firm, the shower in our room over the bath and the shower head did not stay up so water over the place, no good if you have difficulty getting in and out the bath, but was told by another guest there is rooms with walk in showers, bathe towels was grey looking most days, and no spare toilet paper left. You do get a kettle & fridge which is a plus and AC very good, all hotel windows in rooms and everywhere very dirty need a good window cleaner.
Breakfast was included, but very cold & disgusting, but you can ask for scrambled eggs, stay not good in there, and most staff although do try their best , most are useless.
Used pool bar a few times for a drink ok, we used the spa that was ok and reasonably priced.
From the hotel beach approx 5 mins walk, food market 1 min walk and food cooked fresh, and really nice you pay approx 80-120 baht a meal.
Shopping good but haggle and some market stalls if looking for better quality have back rooms, but again haggle.
Some excursions good, but one I would avoid is carnival magic, biggest pile of sh**e going
Would come back to Phuket but not this hotel

It's not a 5 star for sure. The hotel doesn't maintain standard hygiene. Mosquitoes and flies were flying all over the breakfast bakery spread.
Room service is extremely slow and needs frequent reminders.
It's basically a 4 star lodge/hostel with a 3 star hygiene level
Don't stay for more than 1000 baht a night or 35 USD or 2500 INR
Stay here during days when you need to be more outside than inside

Our experience with this hotel was way below average. First they ask to keep a security deposit of 1000 THB right at the reception before check-in (who does that?). Second , the staff is absolutely rude and is not courteous at all. I have experienced better services from smaller hotels. They did not provide me an extra towel for my kid as he was sharing our bed and was not marked as 3rd person in the room.
They provided us a room on first floor with no view. One small pond outside our balcony had tons of mosquitos.
Every time you pass by the reception, you will see some one fighting with the staff over deposit(They deduct money for every small thing - missing spoons, cups, dirty towels and linen etc). Do not order in room dining or else you will loose your in room spoons etc which will be later recovered from you.(in most cases people had ordered food in room and later paid for missing cups and spoons)
Third, Pool towels are provided after 10 am in the morning (since the pool towel person will come after 9.30 am), if you wish to use pools before that bring your room towel and if you soil it, pay fines.
Fourth, While checking out, one person visits your room to check each and every towel, napkin, sheets, cutlery etc and gives a go ahead for refund. (Pathetic)
Also, if you check out before 7 am, be prepared to bring you own luggage to the reception counter as the bell boy comes after 7.30 am.
As an Indian, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. AVOID THIS HOTEL.
Pool is very small and always crowded.

A hotel by name seems to be unique. Its unique name and its locality attract me to book two Deluxe rooms for 3 nights from 29 to 31 March 24 for myself, my wife and my friend Dr Balakrishnan and his wife. We have had a miserable midnight experience with the receptionist. We reserved two rooms through our Indian agenda Skykru Holidays one month in advance. When we approached for boarding in the hotel the receptionist reluctant to allot two rooms informing that there system shows only one room. Our agent passed the booking confirmation screenshot to her. Even then she was reluctant and offered to provide a room for one night at a deposit of 3000THB and another deposit of 2000THB as security. Since we wish not to torture ourself, paid the amount and occupied two rooms one in N block and another in E block. On next day when I approached the receptionist, they disagree to change the rooms since we cannot assure to come back to the hotel by about 12 pm . So this hotel denied us to give two rooms reserved by me at our choice paying in advance. I traveled around the world. Like the bitter experience we never had till we reach to this hotel. It is reliably leaned that they haven’t keep a room for us because of the rush of tourist although season is out for their own economical interest exploiting our inability to defend them at the midnight.
This miserable experience never end here. When on the 3 Rd day we come back to the room after our trip we find missing of two bath towel in one room and missing of two hand towel from another room. On making complaint one boy comes to the room and ask us to open our bags as if we hidden the towel. On a thorough inspection of our rooms he supplied two bath towels to us and ye hand towels to other room. It cannot be ruled out that cleaning people deliberately shifted it to charge us from our security deposit. To sum up this hotel receptionist are unfriendly , inhuman and not even care about our age torturing us with bitter words of reluctancy to provide rooms to us although the room rent was paid in advance and was credited in their account . I post it because even if you have proof of your confirmation for more than one room, you have to aspire to get confirmation specifying the number of rooms. If you confirmation is not reflect in the receptionist system you will be in trouble. It is what happened to me. Although I have proof of confirmation voucher they didn’t trust it even if it is their own proof. Hope anybody doesn’t have like experience . Even your booking was confirmed no assurance in getting the rooms at your choice. This is the bitter experience I have had. The hotel people doesn’t have any sympathy or empathy for you even if you are on late age. When you checkout take care of taking pictures of towels and other amenities supplied to your room so that you can safeguard full refund of your deposit.
