Booked 2 single bed for 3 nights, the room was spacious and clean. Check in process was fast and we are required to pay 1000 baht deposit.

On the second day, we found our room door was wide open after returning in the evening, lucky no stuff was missing.

Upon checkout, the reception informed us that they need to charge us 2000 baht because we spilled some coffee and some of the bed sheet have coffee stain. According to the reception, the 2000 baht was to replace the sheet because the coffee spill cannot be clean.

We are ok if they charge some cleaning fee, however charging to replace the bed sheet is too much. After some negotiation, they reduced the charges to 1800 baht.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gig hotel. It is ideally located, just off Soi Sansabai and a two-minute walk to Bangla Road. A relatively new hotel our superior room offered all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Only complaint with our room was the fact our double bed was actually two singles shoved together and they kept parting ways during the night! On mentioning this to reception they said the only true double beds were on the 2nd and 3rd floors, something to keep in mind for the future. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtably the rooftop pool. Spent several afternoons enjoying a dip in the pool and the wonderful views over to Patong Beach. The Big Bang rooftop bar had some great food offerings, especially the four set meal menus which are a bargain at 199 baht and the food was delicious. A very nice hotel and can recommend to anyone considering staying here.

The hotel is not far from Bangla, there are many shops around 7/11. It's clean, the cleaning is good, the conder works, the mountain water/hol is there. There is a place to wash your feet before entering the hotel, it is very convenient to flush the sand. Since the hotel is near the main street, after the bars close everyone goes to their rooms and slams the front door, and this happens at 5am. The hotel recommends young people who are hunted to move. on the roof there is a swimming pool, with a beautiful sunset view)

I actually didn’t not choose this hotel before trip. My initial hotel was disguised as hotel by Agoba but was a nasty guys apartment. We refused to stay, so I had to find new one. The Gig Hotel was like a 100 yards away, and what a treasure it turned out to be. The price was amazing for this hotel first off. The room was extremely clean and not old or worn out. The bed is on firm side, but I slept amazing and quick all 11 days. The service was really good at front desk, restaurant, pool, and cleaning crew. No problems or issues. The pool might be best in Patong Beach. It was an infinity pool on roof. The sunsets up there are amazing. We were floored our first visit to pool, and it is hard to put into words. The breakfast buffet has limited choices and short time frame, but menu changes daily. We actually looked forward to breakfast ever morning though. The food was great. The location is as good as it gets. It is literally 100 yards from Bangla Rd, and probably 250 yards to beach. Food choice, massage parlors, and convenience stores even closer. The greatest part is you near the action, but far enough away to feel secluded. The hotel is behind building on main roadway. Truly a hidden gem.

I traveled to Phuket from Samui via motorcycle...the last three hours of the trip were in a steady rain. When I arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful in allowing me to check in early and get a hot shower. The on-site laundry service took care of my wet clothes and rain gear by the next morning, as well. Though my stay was short, the staff could not have been nicer. The room was excellent, clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast and fitness room were sufficient. I loved the rooftop pool and bar...

It was my first time to Phuket. The hotel's location was...bustling. It was everything I had read about Patong...The Gig Hotel did not disappoint.

One of the best hotels you can find in Patong. Everything from check-in to service to cleanliness is spot on. The rooftop infinity pool is a picture-perfect location and if you feel like breaking a sweat, the gym is spot on.

I made a reservation for 2 people at the hotel, but even though I was the only person staying, an extra fee of 1000 baht was requested for the guest. When I look at other hotels, the price is outrageous, I definitely do not recommend it. Whatever you say to the reception staff, you may get a no answer.

We vacationed in March 2024. The hotel is located very well for lovers of walking, noise and entertainment. Bangla Road is nearby, the beach is also not far away via Bangla Road. On the other side is Banzaan Bazaar.
What's cool about this hotel is the rooftop pool with a beautiful view.
In the morning there was a normal breakfast, they cleaned every day, but it was very poor quality, there was dirt in the bathroom all the days while we were there.
They take a deposit of 1000 baht, and only in baht.
There are many shops and exchange offices and cafes nearby and a lot of other things, everything is within walking distance

Stayed here a few times now and will again, great reception staff and the rooms are large and clean. The location is great being just of soi Sansabai and close to bars, restaurants, Bangla Rd, Junceylon and the beach. Great swimming pool on the roof with good views, a bar and a sauna. Wouldn't stay here for the breakfast, I'd save 200 baht and use one of the close by cafes or restaurants.

The joiner fees can be quite subjective and if hotel do charge be likely between 200 to 500 baht for each friendly guest. Most important the guest must have sort of identification like the local ID.

I'm not a good swimmer either and like to be able to touch the bottom when I stand up. I'm not a tall person, and it wasn't a problem for me. I hope this helps.
