Courtyard is an intimate exclusive boutique hotel, the first and only restoration hotel in the old town of Kalkan. Originally the site of an underground cistern providing water to passing travellers and later the home of the Yilmaz family, these buildings have been beautifully restored to provide six unique bedrooms, each with their own personality and style.

My stay in Kalkan in September was my first time in Turkey and was a fantastic experience. The Courtyard is a beautiful hotel in a really convenient location with amazing views. The owners Marion and Halil and their team are first class hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very helpful with recommendations and advice about how to make the most of your time in Kalkan. The hotel is spotless and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated in a traditional style with modern touches. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. I would not hesitate to recommend The Courtyard and hope to be fortunate enough to return.

So sad to leave today! We spent a too-short honeymoon with Marion, Khalil, Hasan, and the wonderful staff at Courtyard and could not have felt more welcome and comfortable. It is so rare to find small B&Bs that take the time to get to know their guests by name and take a personal interest in ensuring comfort and enjoyment. The rooms are gorgeously refurbished and the courtyard between them the most tranquil and serene place in all of Kalkan. The breakfast was top notch and drinks on the terrace, or with other guests in the courtyard, were wonderful after a long day on the beach. We will be back as soon as possible!

Returned to Kalkan this year after missing our trip in 2021. Once again the joy of arriving back in Kalkan and at the Courtyard lifted our spirits. I have lost track of how many years we have stayed here (or at their sister accommodation at the White House). Our chosen room was spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Turkish breakfast enjoyed daily on the roof terrace overlooking Kalkan Bay. Nothing is too much trouble. The Courtyard and White House have a beautiful secluded garden abundant with flowers and shrubs, a real oasis in the centre of Kalkan. Restaurants and bars are minutes away and the harbour a short walk to jump on a boat to one of the many beach clubs. A big thank you to Marion, Halil, Hulya and the other wonderful staff for making our stay perfect. See you all in September!

The Courtyard is so much more beautiful than any photo can show. Bougainvillea cascade over the inner courtyard full of welcoming nooks and leafy arbors. My room was spacious and full of light, with a full balcony overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast terrace is seaside, the beach is a 5 minute walk directly down the hill. Note that while taxis don’t usually make it into the “old town”, there is a parking area at the entrance that makes taxi pick up and airport transfer easy. Most important: the people! The proprietors welcomed me like family; the long time staff members were kind, efficient, and good humored! All in all: a brilliant oasis.

We were lucky enough to spend two wonderful nights here on our latest trip to Kalkan. Marion & Halil are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble & they are great company. The accommodation itself is great, spacious & luxurious. Beautifully restored Old Kalkan houses, with lots of original features, set around an oasis of a Courtyard. Breakfast was served in the Courtyard & was delicious. Location is perfect for exploring the delights of Old town Kalkan, with everything a short stroll away. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, the perfect place to stay in Kalkan & I can’t wait to return.

I have lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Courtyard, as it is the only place I stay at in Kalkan when visiting with friends. The hosts Marion, Halil and their team couldn’t do more to make sure your needs are met and to make you feel at home.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and have lots of character and the beautiful courtyard garden is the perfect spot for a read or G&T (if you fancy a change to the roof terrace and the glorious sea views from there).
Finally the location is perfect - on the edge of the Old Town so only a few minutes walk from all the bars, shops and restaurants.
Thank you again to the Courtyard team, we’ll be back next year!

We have been coming here for a number of years. Marion and Halil provide a lovely, peaceful place to stay. The Courtyard rooms are cool, comfortable and pleasant with balconies over the courtyard of a boutique converted customs house. Breakfast and bar are on the terrace of the White House, with stunning views over Kalkan bay. Lovely Turkish breakfast plate is a great start to the day. Happy to return again.

This was our third (or forth?) stay at the Courtyard. We return knowing it will be a perfect break for us. Once arrived you are set for a lovely holiday. You will be well looked after and all of Kalyan's attractions are a minutes walk away. Delighted to say, we spend another 8 days consumed in a sense of complete relaxation and happiness. We always make friends here, the owners, staff and other guests provide great company.

What a wonderful gem of a hotel. We needed an extra few nights after being at a villa nearby and wanting to extend our stay in Kalkan and we are so glad we chose the Courtyard. Don’t worry about lack of pool it’s 2 mins to beach … lovely comfortable rooms, hot powerful showers, delicious breakfast and the team running it are a joy. Sit in shaded corners and soak up the ‘old’ Kalkan… bliss

Such a beautiful building, very traditional and very comfortable rooms. Peaceful beautiful gardens to relax in and great location, quiet but near the Old Town village centre. Just returned from a 2 week stay and a big thank you to Marian, Halil, "Nigel", Julia and all the other staff for looking after us so well. The breakfasts are stupendous!
