Even with no AC, and August temps, this place is way cool. The bath in the room was part of a cave! Very clean, well equipped - I recommend the area and this hotel! Turkey is a wonderful vacation spot. Going with an organized tour was easy - it would be a bit difficult, but not impossible, on your own...

This hotel has the best "rooms" which are more like a 1 bed unit minus the kitchen. Cannot recommend highly enough :) The rooms are carved out of the natural stone and are decorated with decorative timber furniture. Amazing bathroom with spa and shower, marble floor tiles. Beautiful green gardens. Very relaxing.

This was a great place, two room suite in a hillside! wonderful bathroom with jetted tub and huge shower. Bedroom was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. Lots of neat people to meet staying here.

Great hotel. Striking first impression with beautiful "mountainside", "cave" appearance.. Very comfortable; clean; beautiful; and "quaint and native". Good food.. Location was NOT the best since not really close to center of town of Urgup.

Neither had we, until we checked in with our Overseas Adventure Travel group to this hotel, carved out of tuff (hardened lava) in a hillside. Most of Urgup, Turkey, in fact, is carved out of tuff, creating caves people have lived in since Neolithic times. There are hotels, restaurants, houses, police stations, all in caves, surrounded by the strangest landscape...

We booked the Alfina Hotel as a base from which to explore the Capadoccia region and were delighted with our choice. The staff were very kind and helpful, we arrived late and they had our keys waiting for us and the check in process was very efficient. The rooms were huge and well decorated, the beds were really comfortable and...

We were a little worried what kind of cave hotel room would be. But we had high ceiling room so I dont feel in a cave. The whole hotel is carved into a big rock. The restaurant is also in a cave, with rough walls. The room is big, the walls are carved with designs, very unique and beautiful. Has...

We stayed at the Alfina for 3 nights. Located in the lovely town of Ürgüp. The rooms were truly carved out of the cave walls and were lovely. The dome over the bed gave an extra sense of space ensuring no claustrophobic feelings. With a large sitting area, large bedroom and a large bathroom, this hotel was the highlight of...

Technically not really a cave but built to feel like one into side of mountain. The views from the hotel are fantastic. The staff are really helpful especially in the dining room. The rooms are quite large and the best thing was there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom. Very handy for drying clothes! The only downside to...
