We stayed there for two nights on a recent trip to the region,. Arriving late, we were greeted warmly by the owner who directed me to the closed area behind the hotel where I could park our rental car. Once inside we were amazed at the beauty of this old Ottoman house. Modern bathrooms have been added, but the classic...

This hotel is literally an old house that has been renovated and is run (when we were there) by a nice woman named servet. our tour group stayed there and literally rented out the whole place with its 7 rooms. The rooms are all basic and have bathrooms in them of varying size. We were in the top floor 'yasmine'...

The owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet who will do anything for you, but there are a few significant weaknesses to this place that in fairness should be noted. Most importantly, it is not in the historic part of Safranbolu. It is in the modern "Kıranköy" neighborhood, NOT the historic "Çarşı" neighborhood for which Safranbolu is famous....

We arrived at the hotel relatively early around 6 am Woke up MR AHMET early, but he still warmly help us to check-in and prepared breakfast for us by himself. Hotel location excellent ,can...

Besides a very fine room, the traditional mansion has a lovely garden where an excellent Turkish breakfast is served. Ms Servet a great deal of assistance, not only information, about local sights, restaurants, and onward transport. "Everything" is within walking...

Our time in Safranbolu at Degirmenci Konak was excellent! We loved the climatic, old Greek house with its quaint design and the collection of cameras :) Ahmet, the owner, is an outgoing, knowledgeable and particularly friendly man. He served delicious home-made jams, gave us a lift here and there and dealt with all the numerous questions my fiance kept asking...

I share the views of most fellow reviewers which I am not going to repeat here. Would like to thank the very kind lady owner again for the wonderful stay. There are two things I may wish to bring to future visitors' notice: 1. if you are taking long-distance bus to Safranbolu, just take a taxi direct from Safranbolu Octagor...

It is in very quite location and interior design is an original Safranbolu mansion. Garden is good for relaxing. Mrs. Servet insists on a certain quality and cleanliness. We spend very good time in hotel and city during our visit. Our 8 months old baby was also comfortable there. Camera collection is exceptional :)

I've stayed in Degirmenci Konak for 2 days during my honeymoon. The place is very nice, orientally decorated and smells lots of history. There's an interesting showcase of old cameras just in the entrance. The staff is great. They treat you not like a customer, but a member of the family. So you'll certainly feel like home here. On the...
