The location is excellent but the Hotel needs a lot of maintenance to be at Relais&Chateau standard. We had to wait for half an hour at the reception, there was no sign that after 4pm we needed to go to the restaurant and call for someone. I did that on my own. As it was winter we expected our room... More

Narbona in located just north of the quaint rural town of Carmelo on the main road north, what appears as a unassuming collection of buildings hides a diamond of hospitality. Once a family's vineyard and estate has been turned into small boutique hotel/lodge with an adjoining winery and restaurant. We were given the Pinot Noir room which I can barely... More

Charming, soulful and relaxed with fantastic wine and food. Just a day visit but the rooms looks incredible and I would definitely consider a stay if I came this way again. The wine was very good and we took a few bottled for the road.

A beautiful place, with committed and gentile staff. I had an excelent time with my wife e son... Waking up seen the 'finca', fields were the grapes grow, walking in it, having their homemade cheese in the breakfast, tasting their wines and their very good 'cousine'... All that combining the historical building with the new needs for confort!!! Really a... More

We stayed at Narbona Wine Lodge for one night in March. The pros are: Beautiful property with lovely pool. It's really nice to wander the vineyards at sunset and enjoy the birdsong and fading light. The Pinot Noir Room was in my top five rooms ever--huge with incredible windows and a fireplace. You can sit in front of a fire... More

Incredible place to rest and enjoy the peaceful landscapes. Everything is perfect. Food, wines, facilities and people. I stayed with friends for a weekend and it was a fantastic experience. We had the wonderful surprise of enjoying Vendimia during our stay. Well known Chefs were there to share with us delicious recipes. Thanks to all staff. Specially lovely Manuela.

We wished we'd got here sooner - 3 days in Montevideo and 2 at this stunning property wasn't the right balance! An earlier review suggested this was difficult to get to, but it was an easy drive from Montevideo and even easier from Colonia del Sacramento if you're travelling to/from Buenos Aires! Manuella greeted us on arrival and emphasised the... More

The lodge isn't easy to get to (we drove from Montevideo) but it's worth the trouble. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious and breezy. The wine produced on site is really good (better than I expected), and the staff friendly and unobtrusive. I felt as if I'd been invited to stay at a long lost wealthily family member's country home. With... More

Three days at Narbona Wine Lodge and we fell completely in love with the place. Totally relaxing and beautifully situated in the vineyards. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and they make you feel like you stay in some good friends home. At the same time Narbona is also like a museum - and it is a winery. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
... more   less
