Great location, amazing staff and good accommodation!! IMy boyfriend and I had a very good experience there! One bad thing is that we have a specific time to do the check in (from 2 pm). We arrived before that, so we left the luggage in the storage area and walked around the city until this time. But as the hostel...

This hostel seemed to be the recommended one in Colonia so we chose it without a second thought, although it's not cheap. Well, it wasn't great at all. We stayed in a dorm and it seemed like anybody could come in and out of our room at any time, not much security. One night some guys got drunk, sang and...

The first day we arrived in Colonia (2 friends and I) we were too early to check in so we decided to walk around Colonia and they offered us to leave our luggage in the storage area without problem. We ended up all night walking around and at the last minute decided to take a car to another city for...

This hostel is ok. The room was clean, the breakfast was ok, the bed was comfortable enough. The only really bad thing is that the hot water in our room (13) ended in the middle of a shower and the TV had with only 10 channels when we arrived and just 2 (!!) when we left (yes, the channels disappeared)....

Probably the most expensive hostel in the world. Nearly US$100 for a shared room that was dirty, had a discusting bathroom and old 'furniture' and the worlds smallest bed. I would never recommend anyone stay here, its too expensive for the backpackers who could maybe stay in a place this dirty and to dirty for people who can afford to...

I don't know what possessed the Lonely Planet reviewer that called this hostel "fancy pants", unless they consider dark, moldy hostels full of horrific bugs fancy. Then, this wins five stars. We changed from the six bedroom dorm to the 8 because the 6 was covered in wet clothes and everybody was on top of each other. The 8 bedroom...

A pretty ok hostel, centrally situated, with free breakfast and a huge collection of good movies. We stayed here in low season, so it felt a bit deserted. De 4 person dorms had a bathroom, but it the promised warm water turned out to be cold and it was so close to the room that you could literally hear everything...

Loved my stay at El Viajero Colonia! I even extended my stay for an extra night there. The staff are awesome--so friendly and helpful. The location is great--walking distance from the bus station and so close to the main part of town. The rooms were spacious and clean, comfortable beds, breakfast was better than most hostels, and the common area...
