Isabella and Andy are wonderful, warm, accommodating, interesting, and welcoming hosts. Gondwana is unique and the rooms are tastefully decorated and roomy. Be sure to have a least one supper there. Andy and Isabella are great chefs and Andy makes a wine from his private vineyard. It is fabulous.

Gondwana is a special place that delivers tranquility in beautiful surroundings. Our stay at this lovely B & B made our trip to Uruguay a wonderful experience. We stayed at the Posada for a week and sometimes felt we did not want to go anywhere else, but just enjoy what was on offer there. All around is open country side,...

We did find Posada Gondwana in the web and booked it for 6 nights as “base camp” so that we may use the place to relax and recover from our 12 days trip through northern Argentina and discover a bit of Uruguay by the way. As it turned out to be, our hopes and expectations created through the virtual impressions...

Staying at Posada de Campo Gondwana was the highlight of our time in South America. Isabella and Andy went out of their way to make our stay perfect. After traveling for almost two weeks it was a joy to relax and enjoy the sunset from the porch of our room. The breakfast was a feast, and for other meals Isabella...

We spent two nights at Gondwana on October 28-30. After a day in beautiful Colonia, we were charmed by this estancia-style "posada" in the lush countryside a few kilometers from the colonial centre. On our arrival, we were met by the owners, Andy and Isabella, who were most welcoming and helpful in planning our visits over the next two days....

We stayed at Gondwana towards the end of our trip to Uruguay after reading the wonderful reviews and they are all true. It's a wonderful, secluded little bed & breakfast with the most gracious host, Andy. It happened to also be my husbands birthday and he had a birthday cake made special for him and we shared wine, cake and...

We truly did not want to leave Gondwana. Isabella thinks of everything you might need before you realize you need it. The setting is beautiful and tranquil, there are bikes to ride and dogs to accompany you, and the breakfast--especially if you have recently experienced breakfast in Buenos Aires--is something to anticipate. If we returned to Colonia, we would never...

We had a wonderful stay here with my 3 young children, spouse and mother in law. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the setting is peaceful. You are far enough away from Colonia to feel disconnected from everything yet close enough to go back into town to walk around, dine out or visit museums. Our hosts knew about small beaches...

My husband and I spent 5 days around New Year at Gondwana. We chose it because we stayed there a few years a go and loved it, and this time it was as good as we remembered. Because it is small and it has bungalows and rooms in different sites, you have a sense of being alone, as if it...
