This hotel was a bit pricier than the ones we had been staying at but the central location, gorgeous rooms (especially the bathroom) and friendly very helpful English speaking owners made it worth every penny. Charming posada, very clean and friendly and helpful staff. Felt right at home, and in a great location in the historic part of Colonia del Sacremento.

We do not speak Spanish very well so staying at a place that is owned by an American/English couple was wonderful (they do speak Spanish). Loved the clean construction of the rooms and how they were decorated. El Capullo was a very comfortable place to stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return.

Recently refurbished and opened, this is a little gem of a hotel in Colonia. The English and American husband and wife owners are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed with TV, Wi-fi and local decor. It has a rustic yet boutique appeal and the breakfast is delicious. I would highly recomment this establishment to everyone!
