This is not a great hotel. Despite having an architecturally pleasing central courtyard the rooms, whilst not filthy, are tired and the whole place needs a freshen up. However, for the price this is about right. Staff were friendly and the location is good. I would say that for those on a budget they should consider here.

Where do I start. Well, good location and the shop on the street outside hotel front is very helpfull and friendly. They do cheap laundry and have brand new scooters ( best we have had on our trip) . As for the the hotel, if you can get past the fact that its run down , un-maintained, low staffed and... More

We (my parents and I) came to stay in this hotel after having a bad experience in another hotel so having to find accommodation quickly we didn't have a lot of options. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and absolutely loved the location as it was walking distance to most locations. But upon staying the first night we found... More

Similarly to another review of this place we stayed here for one night when we arrived in Hoi An and found our chosen place to stay was fully booked. It was late at night and a festival was taking place so we didn't have many other options. The reception staff did speak English and were quite helpful. The location was... More

We arrived here after a very long train journey from Saigon (17 hrs) so was probably a bit tired, however the girl at reception spoke very little English and was unmotivated when asked for any help. The room we were given was at the back of the hotel (balcony faced a concrete wall) and no sun came in and therefore... More

First off, keep in mind that the sign on the outside doesn't say "Trade Union Hotel," so don't assume that your taxi dropped you off at the wrong place. The decor of the rooms made us feel like it was 1962, but it was kind of quaint. The location is excellent - probably just 5-10 minute walk from the heart... More

I was in Hoian for 2 nights and stayed at Hoian trade union. For me this hotel is quiet, clean and great location. Not 4 or 5 star but it has everything you need. I'd recommend to my friends about this hotel.

We stayed here for one night because the hotel we intended to stay at was full and it was late in the evening, so this was a last minute referral while enroute to Hoi An. In retrospect, I wish I had called a few other hotels listed in Lonely Planet before checking into the Trade Union Hotel. The bathroom was... More

“Ask for a front room facing the street so you can open the window to freshen room. Hoian has a lot of rain annualy and rooms get very musty and damp esp in the old buildings.”
