We spent four days there after a longer trip through Botswana-getting used to a bit more civilisation again. The camp is a perfect balance between being close to town but still in the wilderness. The location on the river banks of the Sambesi makes it unique. The sunset cruise on the river turned into an unforgettable experience-we watched an elephant...

This was the first stop on our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The camp is outstanding, we were treated like royalty. You cannot fault anything about this camp, it is first class. The accommodation was perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming, they all remember your name and make an effort to talk to you, without being too much....

The location of Toka Leya is perfect on the banks of the Zambezi River. The facilities and decor are well designed and comfortable. The rooms (tents) are exceptional. The biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, air conditioning, his & her vanities, hot shower, and a bathtub with a million dollar view (hippos included). However, what we...

We chose Toka Leya as the first stop on our (mainly) Botswanan safari trip in the full expectation that we wouldn't see quite as much wildlife there as in our later camps. After more than 24 hours travel from leaving home in the UK we were looking to relax for a couple of nights and recharge our batteries in anticipation...

This was the best experience we had on our whole trip. The staff was knowledgeable and did everything possible plus, to assure we had a memorable visit. It did help that the resort only had a total of 8 guests including our party. Every square foot of this place was absolutely perfect. The pool area, dining area and lounge areas...

Situated right on the Zambian side of the Zambezi we had a most memorable stay (as always) with the most friendly and professional staff of the Toka Leya Lodge. On our professional-guided Zambezi cruise we encountered close to 40 bird species. The city tour was a highlight, including the Livingstone Museum and city drive. The sundowner at the lodge overlooking...

From the moment we were collected at the airport, the adventure started! The river trip to the lodge was just extra special and Chris and his team are so customer focused that at times it is almost too much, but in a good way. The lodge is just amazing and our room (we stayed in room 4) with an outside...
