We are living and working in Mwandi and this is the only "restaurant" in the area. Though they don't take walk-ins, as much as they take guests who stay for a fishing vacation, there are gaps we can slide into and go for a meal. We had a wonderful evening; it was so great not to have to prepare a...

What a brilliant lodge and place to wind down. The facilities was spotless the food immaculate. Thanks for really going out of your way to make us feel home. The effort that the staff put in to accommodate all the requests that we had was amazing. Boys trip for the books.

Thanx Howard for the amazing stay. Best tiger fishing destination in Zambia. Top class service, hospitality and accommodation. I will definately be back to slay some more giant tigers. Tigers were caught on mostly dead bait but top water was the most fun stick baits and poppers get you that epic surface strike. For the bird lovers out there, perfect...

After a long dusty overland drive we made our way to Shackelton's tiger Fishing Lodge. We went for the fishing for sure, but did not expect the absolute luxury and service we received. We were a family of 6 that included 4 adult children. From the moment we stepped off the truck, we were greeted by the staff and a...

We travelled as a couple to Shackelton's in July. Upon arrival at the airport, we were met by the Shackleton's driver and transported to the lodge. The transfer takes around 2 hours due to the roads being filled with potholes. Luckily they have ice cold beers, water and coke in abundance for the transfer. When we arrived at the lodge...

We were at Shackelton's for 4nights in October 2013. The lodge and chalets are well equipped and comfortable, situated close to and overlooking the Zambezi river. There is a deck directly on the bank. The swimming pool ensures refreshing relaxation during the heat of the day. There is limited electricity but solar backup is provided for the lights. The dining...

Four of us were back at Shackelton,s in mid June. The positives - The camp and accommodation is still tops with a warm welcome from all staff. The negatives - We were just unlucky with our fishing with nothing caught to boast about. Considering I caught a personal best last year of 8.8kg, what a difference a year makes. Pick...

This was a large group of friends and family and we stayed for Christmas and New Year. Accomodation really comfortable - you don't need your own pillows: one of the three on your bed will be better than the one you love at home. Superb crisp cotton sheets - really comfortable matrasses. Food - just fabulous! Service- outstanding! Staff really...

Howard & Shari are super stars that did everything to make our stay memorable. Not only did we do some great fishing, tigers up to 4.5 kg's and barbels up to 12kg, we went...

“Guests who come for fishing adventures, have a standard cabin. Power is only on 6 hours a day. Great views of the Zambezi.”

“* if you are not a fisherman then this is not the place to go, there is not much to do besides fishing. * Take your own fishing tackle - they do provide tackle but it is limited - one our first morning we lost 2 jigs to fish and we got no more whilst we were there * Take a good torch - you get one on your set of keys but having 2 always helps”

“All the chalets are situated close to the river providing views of the river from the decks. The chalets are spaced apart providing privacy.”

“All rooms have their own space so no rooms really better than the other. I suppose the one closest to the pub/rest area/launch site ideal.”
