We stayed in this lodge in November. We had a fantastic time. The staff were very welcoming and we had our own guest relations/waiter/concierge - Mr Mabvuto - who made our stay very comfortable. Food very good and lots of choice and we had a lovely evening meal sitting out on a raised plinth with great views of the towns...

Excellent service. Property managers very good at making sure you get what you want. Good food. Lovely property. Internet very weak. Open air rooms are fun, but it can get chilly at night when you have to leave the comfy bed with its electric blanket.

Friendly staff, good food, it was perfect. You really feel like home. The lodge offers a lot of tours in the area and they take care for everything. I recommend the heliocopter flight, the rhino-tour and Livingstone Island.

wonderful experience in the beautiful nature, staying in an open suite. During the night you hear the lions roaring. Great service, excellent food, very nice people. Absolutely recommendable in every respect!

The trip was part of my 60th birthday present from my family. I had visited Victoria Falls about 30 years ago and spent the last 15 telling my children how great it was. They decided that the only way to shut me up was for us all to go there. The lodge's initial attraction was rooms without walls so there...

This is an unusual property on the hill above the Zambezi River. - It is not situated on the river bank itself. Many of the rooms are totally "open" to the elements. - You may either love this or not. If this concept bothers you make sure you ask for a "closed" unit. - Room 1 should be avoided -...

Thanks for the great review and reference to the lodge. If I may correct some of the information for clarity sake. Room 1 is a honey moon suite and is about 150meters form the main area. The room is open and has a small plunge pool. The closed rooms are 5, 6 & 7 and the latter 2 have air-conditioning...

We (1 adult, 3 children) experienced the Lodge and its staff as very well taken care of, creative in design and extremely friendly and open. The kitchen was excellent. We would go back any time. Single negative point: Rates of activities offered by third party operators and sold by the Lodge. However, Jason, the Manager (and his wife!) are flexible...

The Stanley Safari Lodge minutes for Victoria Falls was a wonderful place to stay. With only 10 bungalows it's important that you book ahead. Each cottage was unique. Some had private pools, some were open to the outside and some were completely enclosed. Ours was huge, with ample sitting areas, outdoor seating, indoor/outdoor showers and all the amenities you could...

From every room at Stanley Safari Lodge, you can see the distant views of the spray of the Victoria Falls. Set on a hill overlooking unspoiled bush, only 3 km birds view from the river and the Victoria Falls, Stanley is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area – from river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, elephant back rides or walking with lions. Quiet and intimate, Stanley Safari Lodge will tailor your stay to suit you.The opensided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, French cuisine with an African twist in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa. This half open house has a truly African feel, while the colonial closed suites with private plunge pool evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone. However, at Stanley Safari Lodge most rooms are half open, which enables you to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush fully. ... more   less

“Honeymoon and Family suites, with open views add to the feeling of exploration and being part of the African bush. There is heating and effective mosquito protection so you don't have to suffer the downsides. Glamping with extra romance and glamour.”
