We got off the bus and there was someone waiting for us at the bus stop. We hadn't organised this beforehand so it was a pleasant surprise. The place is beautiful and we bath hopped around before dinner. Some are hotter than others and about half have views of the river. The food was amazing! Many dishes, most of which... More

A must visit for onsen enthusiasts! Not only it's a member of the association of secluded hot spring, it's one of the inn that's got the MOST baths. The association reviews hundreds of onsen inns in Japan each year and each are evaluated with strict measurement including the mineral content in the hot spring water, the food, the quality and... If you are driving, the entrance to the hotel driveway is near a tunnel exit - go slow or you will miss the turn. The facilities were nice and clean. The food is good. We stayed two nights. The staff tried their best to explain everything in English. Excellent service from the hotel staff.

The service was excellent. Due to some circumstances, i had to change the date of my booking. However, all the rooms were fully booked on the website I was using. I emailed the ryokan and they told me they will help me open up one room on the website. It was done efficiently and I could change my room booking... More

A beautiful Japanese guest house. Very friendly and helpful staff, I felt very welcome and well looked after. The Onsen is just perfection. Mixed, same sex and privat areas. Superb tranquil location left me feeling completely relaxed. The food was great (I had the traditional Japanese) as was the whole experience.

Yarimikan provided us with some amazing memories of Japan. Their Onsen are beautiful and rugged, the food was extraordinarily good, fresh and plentiful, including the sashimi that was so fresh that it was literally still gasping. They had a mochi-making demonstration where they clearly delighted in watching the westerners trying to master the art. It's quite a trek to get... More

We were here in October and it is a great timing to be there. We saw full color changes. It is so enjoyable when you and your love one are in the mixed bath outdoors. It is once in a life time unforgettable experience. Highly recommend to be here in autumn.

This secluded onsen is a luxurious Japanese Ryokan experience. The food is lavish and amazing (breakfast and dinner included in the rate), the rooms are comfortable with private western style toilets. What really sets it apart, however, are the private hot baths. Many Americans may have issues with the full nudity clause for onsens - no bathing suits. This onsen... More
