I made fun of the name relentlessly expecting the worst, but it turned out to be a wonderful stay. The room was cozy and comfortable, they have a pillow library (!) and a tiny hot springs. The free breakfast was a wonderful start to the day and check out with non-existent (you do everything during check in so no waiting...

Just 3 minutes walk to jr takayama station, or nohi bus stop. 5-8 minutes walk to old town takayama. Very convenient. Hot spring bath is available, even though it's quite small but you can still enjoy the bath after a tiring day. Breakfast is also good. Staff is excellent! I'm staying at another hotel the following day after check out,...

Although it looks like a touristic city, I don't recommend unless you are not on a budget travel. I stayed on a single room. It is only for sleeping. Small but clean room. The room light was a bit dark but the bathroom light was bright enough , what I like. There is wifi available. There is no room for...

Location was really near the main train & bus centre, and less than 10min walk to the old town. In-house onsen was a bonus; just take note of the timings for men and ladies. Room was clean and comfortable, loved that we could choose our own pillows according to preference. What they lacked in space, they made up for it...

We were staying in Japan for 3 weeks and we stayed in takayama for 3 nights. The only positive aspect was the proximity to the station. The bed was semi double and there was hardly any space to walk arounf between the table and the bed. The bathroom was so small that you can hardly sit down to do your...

The hotel location is very easy to find and just less than 5 min walk from Takayama station which I think is very inconvenient. Staffs speak good English and really helpful. Breakfast is great with quite a variety of Japanese foods. There is also a public bath of separate gender which is separated with specific time table for each gender.

The hotel is good, with nice comfortable room and all amenities needed for a short stay. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The room is quite small but this is similar to other hotels in Japan. The hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes walk to the old town and close to the excellent pizzeria Salute of a chef trained...

The good; - reasonably good location. - has an onsen - you can pick your own pillow firmness (very cool) - Staff were friendly on arrival The bad - Rooms were extremely small, even for Japan. Felt claustrophobic. - both my wife & I got physically sick from the breakfast. - Staff were cold/ indifferent as we left Conclusion -...

This hotel seemed like more of a budget business hotel when compared with other business hotels that I stayed at, and was priced as such. Although not all the staff spoke english, the woman who checked me in spoke well and was very helpful. My single room had a double bed. The room was one of the smallest I encountered...

Takayama or little Kyoto of the mountains is a quaint and popular place. This hotel is an Apa run hotel and is reasonable, clean , well run and walking distant to most of the tourist attractions. The town is quaint with canals running along the streets and wisteria growing on trellises above store fronts. Views are breath taking and hot...
