The new portion of the Micuras Hotel provides excellent natural hot spring baths high up above an attractive beachfront. The rooms have modern decor and are spacious compared to most in Japan. This is a good value hotel in a pleasant town with plenty of attractions including gardens with plum and cherry blossoms at this time of year. The best...

My wife and I stayed one night at the Micuras hotel in early January 2017. We had a Superior Room with ocean view, on the sixth floor. The view was great and the room spacious. The entire hotel appears to be rather new, with modern architecture and furniture. If you are looking for the "traditional ryokan/onsen experience" then this is...

The hotel is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Beautiful beach front of the hotel. Morning and evening you take a traditional Japanese hot baths. During the day you spend on excursions. Fine dining will add a glass of champagne.

So I booked this Atami area onsen stay for August 19 instead of one day earlier, because the difference of one day means having a room with a window and ocean view. Apparently on August 18 there is a firework show at night by the beach so all the rooms with views were booked...I don't mind a room without an...

Booked a room on ikyu.com which generally provides choice locations. Be very very careful about booking a room here. They are sly and sell very expensive rooms at the price of five star hotels which amount to essentially a windowless basement room. Room descriptions are deceptive. I interpreted the "No window" description on my Japanese reservation sheet as as the bathroom has...

A perfectly located Hotel on beautiful Atami Sun Beach. It was a haven for families Our room was overlooking the beach. It was spacious and comfortable. The onsen was lovely. We opted for half board and were not disappointed. It was delicious. Expensive, but the same as all decent Japanese hotels

Got the executive rooms on floor 9. Amazing view over the bay. Had a private hot tub in the room with floor to ceiling, wall to wall window not only in shower/bath but also in the spacious room. The men's Onsen, on floor 13, was fantastic. Two hot pools along the front of the building with spectral open views, one...

We only stayed at Hotel Micuras for one night. Our room was more than 4 times the size of a usual hotel room in Japan. The view over the ocean was stunning, I would've loved to stay there for some more nights. The staff at the hotel was friendly, but they were whispering all the time, which was annoying since...

Didn't really know what to expect in Atami but ended up in this awesome hotel. It's location is great, directly across the road from the beach. The staff were great and very helpfully provided some information that we requested about the local train. Our room was massive, there was no view, but there was a private onsen bath area as...

I stayed in this hotel for one night, which allowed me to try 2 times of onsen during day time and night time. The onsen facilities are nice and clean, which a sauna room is also provided. I think most of the hotel rooms are facing the beach, very nice sea view and environment in Atami. The size of room...
