Over a hundred years old traditional Japanese hostel. Calm and relax atmosphere. You can hear the water running along the river before your sleep; and throughout the night if you can't fall asleep.. ;-) Nice facilitates: kitchen, self-service laundry and excellent sitting out area over-looking the river.

We stay two nights in a private room in the second floor with river view and balcony, but this is my second time and the other time I was in a private room in first floor for four people with river view too. I must say that I had to repit in this travel because one time wasn't enough. this...

It was too bad we had only 1 day staying at K's House Ito Onsen. 1 day was just not enough to feel and enjoy the ambience. We really love the authentic feels of Japan. And this place represents that! We can experience such beautiful place that we've just seen in a Japanese movie! We wish to have another opportunity...

The decor and feel of the place was great, providing the old world Japan that most people want to experience at least once in their trip. The onsite traditional hot spring was a beacon to aching bodies after a long day of hiking and adventuring. Be aware that the main bath/ shower is the shared onsen where no clothing is...

We stayed for several days in one of the private rooms because we had a baby. Staff was really friendly and helpful. They made a recommendation for an onsen and even called to book a private room for us then gave us all the directions on how to get there. The onsen ended up being a great recommendation and a...

I stay at dorm. Room has good river view but only partition with others. Seem not comfort. Location is not so far to train station. Nice and helpful staff. Nice common room and kitchen to prepare your meal.

I liked Everything about this place! It's a former ryokan (Traditional Japanese hotel) that is run by amazing staff. English friendly, offers a nice onsen and a beautiful and spacious lounge where you can relax.

Arrived late on new year's eve and was warmly welcomed and told that a countdown party will be held. Free flowing strong alcohol is always excellent. The next day, volunteer staff who can speak very good English brought guests to the nearby shrine for New Year prayers on their own accord. Tour desk dude also went out of the way...

We have been to K's house Ito several times and each time it was a pleasure. But this time it is under a new manager who is arrogant and somewhat uncaring of his customers. He treats the ryokan as his own house and encourages the staff to behave in a like manner. Our family was treated as if we were...
