I will not recommend this hotel unless you are on a budget stay. A basic hotel with stink hotel. Was amazed by how small the hotel room door was. Nevertheless, the hotel staff is very friendly and poliet.

This place is very near to JR station, the Tram station, and just 2 mins walk to Hakodate Morning market. Location is great. Bed quality are pretty terrible, or maybe i am just not used to the hard thin mattress... i remember i did not sleep well that night of all the 8 nights in Hokkaido. However, for the price...

Staffs/Hosts: Owners are friendly and helpful. They understand English well enough to address all my queries. Amenities: Free breakfast, but we didn’t try as our primary aim was to visit the Hokkaido Morning Market. Private bath, which is very spacious and can fit 3 to 4 persons comfortably, is available on 2nd floor upon request. Covered car park available and...

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Kikuya. We stumbled onto this hotel by chance and were really glad to have found it. It is about 3 to 5 mins walk away from the JR Hakodate station and bus terminal. So convenient! It has many great food options around too. The hotel owners were really nice and friendly and provided...

This place is a little bit outdated but not a big deal. It is clean and warm and right the centre of Hakodate - you are just 100 metres from the train station and 10-15mins walk from the old warehouses and the historical district. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was great. They even...

A no frills family run Ryokan minutes away from the JR station & the morning market. Was given free, simple breakfast with eggs, toast, coffee, tea & milk. Don't mind as the breakfast can be easily satisfied at the morning market. Private hot tub bathroom available for reservation, really comfortable to soak in hot bath after a day out in...

I just reviewed Ibis and pointed out how basic Ibis nowadays but then I found this small hotel with even less basic than Ibis. Again basic is not a bad thing but sometimes you are on vacation and you need more than just basic comfort. For example this hotel located in Hokkaido, one of the coldest area i had been...

Spent 2 nights with family group of 5 adults and 1 elder. The hotel is dated and operated by two elders. The frond desk uncle is friendly. Hotel offers all basis needs, simple breakfast, and free parking. Location is great: 3 min walk to morning market.
