A fantastic way to spend a night on the way in or out of Narita Airport. Very welcoming Staff, excellent Dinner and Breakfast, lovely location and the nicest way to experience Japanese hospitality. 5 minutes by Taxicab from the Train station.

We traveled for two months but before we set out to our adventure we realized that when we return home we had a 20hr layover in Japan so automatically imagined that the airline would check our bags in all the way back home. Because of the long layover we decided to instead of sitting around the airport we would venture... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to a ski trip in Nagano. There's no shuttle bus and arriving at 6 pm at narita with lots of luggage we caught a taxi there which was 3000yen. If u come during the day walking from the train station will take 10 minutes. The inn is opposite the big temple... More

We stayed here only for 1 night to catch our flight home the next day. It's closer to the airport, we didn't expect anything special, just want to be close to the airport. But wow we're surprised, the place is beautiful, also the biggest room we stayed in compare to all other places we stayed during our 1 month Japan... More

The real appeal is the huge shrine complex so make sure you get a room overlooking it. Make time to walk round the very very very beautiful and extensive gardens. This is a real treat. Otherwise this is a traditional inn, complete with large tatami mat rooms, public bath and full service of breakfast and dinner in the room. Staff... More

This is a ryokan - a traditional Japanese hotel, so everything at Wakamatsu Honten was 'traditional', from the tatami-room we had to a perfect attention to detail as far as service was concerned. As it was my first time in Japan, this was a new experience, which I loved. Breakfasts were also exceptional, giving one a chance to taste different... More

A very nice Roykan, traditional japaneese Inn across from the beautiful Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, in the lovley old town of Narita. The best way to stay the last night before departure from Narita airport. A short distance from the airport, yet another world.

I stayed here one night when I had a layover at Narita airport. I normally stay in a hotel by the airport, or right at Narita station, but wanted a more traditional Japanese experience. The ryokan- its atmosphere, food, and sento (communal bath) were great. It's perfectly located across from the Narita temple and park. Three caveats though: -- There... More

Still at the inn for a four-night stay. Loving it so much! Extremely easy arrival from the airport by train (¥260pp), walked along the quaint picturesque streets reminding us of Zermatt. This time, we are in a suite on the 3rd floor (Room 334) with its own deep tub to soak in, and have added the breakfast and dinner option.... More

It isn't going to compete with Kayotei in Ishikawa-ken or Tawara-ya in Kyoto but this place isn't trying to. It is a bit older but a great value and fantastic staff. The front desk lady is a very kind, sociable and a great help. Thank you for handling my packages and all out stuff. The meal felt a bit rushed... More
