This is the ideal hotel that I have been looking for in Japan for a long time. It's a traditional Japanese Ryokan in which you can have superb experience around the world. They bring excellent Japanese meals both in the morning and in the evening. You can also have a friendly female staff who offers cordial hospitality during your stay....

We stayed in the 山月 room. The room was more like a suite - it had it's own bathroom with small soaking tub (and shisedo bath products), living area with the low table and leg less chairs, bedroom area for the futons, indoor/outdoor sitting room with small table and couches, and outdoor terrace with more seating. The hotel felt a...

We stayed two nights here in november 2014 and picked it because it seemed a convenient place to explore the area. After getting directions from the tourist information centre opposite the station we easily walked there within 10-15 minutes. You can also take the shuttle bus for 100 yen. The staff was very friendly and the room very big for...

We located at this hotel under the impression it was a western style ryokan. No it was not. Apart from taking your shoes off at door it was same as any average hotel. Room was spacious enough but no lifts to upper floors for luggage. Beds ok but was expecting more for what was described . Staff friendly and within...

This is the full Japanese experience. My partner and I booked the Japanese-Style Room Hotel Senkei for around 40,300 yen. Although our experience is positive (service was great and felt authentically japanese), this is expensive and maybe not the best value for money. When we booked on booking.com it stated it had a hot spring bath inside the room. Don't...

I chose this hotel based on the reviews for a taste of Japanese lifestyle and the outdoor onsen. Was not disappointed. Friendly staff. Gentleman at Reception desk English fine but morning team English not good. So if you need directions etc that is going to require a higher level of English ask when you check in. The lady who explained...

I travelled with my family just this December 2014 and after reading all of the great reviews here on Tripadvisor I was really looking forward to staying at Hotel Senkei. I stayed at the Hotel senkei Plaza Inn for 1 night and boy was I glad it was just 1 night. For starters, there was absolutely NO elevator and we...

unless you don't want to speak in English with the staff, this is one of the best place I've been. We are not talking about a fancy and posh hotel because in fact the whole facility looks a bit old but the experience really worth the cost (quite high in August). I've read about the possibility to have also a...

The room we were in was very old and worn. The bathroom was tiny and did not look clean. Nothing was explained to us about the onsen. I'm sure there are other places to stay. Staying in this hotel ruined our experience in hakone, as we were only here for one night.
