Stayed her on first leg of our Japan tour. From the outside roadway it looks pretty forbidding like a prison or fortress but don't be put off, the rooms are large and spacious and spotless. Our two rooms had hige windows looking out over the lake and even with some poor weather (snowing) the views are amazing of majestic mountains...

Hotel is situated on the waters edge of the lake with Mount Fuji in view (when she decides to show her face). We were part of a tour group and needed to be up early. We captured spectacular photos in the morning of the mist rising and Mount Fuji in the distance. The hotel rooms all have either a side...

I rented 2 rooms during my stay in Hakone at Hakone Hotel. The actual hotel and the rooms are nice. They have an Onsen, but unfortunately I couldn't use it because of my tattoos (people with tattoos are prohibited from using the Onsen), but my son and wife loved it. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms were a...

Upon our arrival for the check in! My partner and I realised that we had left our passports in Shinagawa the day before. Hakone Hotel kindly contacted the hotel in Shinagawa and organised the record delivery of our passports! The passports arrived as promised by staff. We were super grateful! To top that off, the hotel very kindly upgraded us...

Checked in to this hotel for one night only but really enjoyed our stay. We first visited the Hakone Open Air Museum, then some side trips before going to Owakudani, then proceeded to riding the pirate ship. When we arrived at Hakone-machi, it started to get dark since it was Autumn and 4pm is already quite dark. We had no...

We travelled with a bus tour and were lucky enough to have a fabulous room overlooking the lake. The rooms are spacious with all amenities, the hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The onsen was great and most of the ladies from the tour took advantage is fhis facility for once letting British modesty go, definitely do this. The hotel...

A pricey hotel, but very good location. Spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had. The only negative was that there were no english TV channels, no BBC or CNN. The front desk staff was courteous, but they certainly need to have people a somewhat fluent in English.

We stayed here for one night. Our room is very spacious with an enornmous bathroom. We have a balcony that overlooks the lake. It has been raining heavily so we didn't get much of a view but I can imagine to be really nice view on a good day. We ate in the hotel restaurant. As it's part of our...

Stayed here for one night as part of a guided tour. We had a ' split-level suite' on the third floor overlooking the beautiful lake. Huge beds, huge bathroom. Onsen available to guests which my wife used and said it was 'an experience'. The food was pretty good, my only complaint would be the bar prices ... £10 for 250ml...

The gods were with us on this visit. We has a great view of Mt Fuji for most of the time we were here. Also we had been inexplicably upgraded to a Junion Suite se we were in heaven. The exterior of his hotel looks like some Soviet era monstrousity but inside it is spacious and modern. The breakfast was...
