I've been here for 2 nights, the room is spacious and they provide private indoor onsen for free (30mins per room), I think this is their plus plus point as a guesthouse. Owner and staffs are friendly and caring. The location is quite good because the bus stop nearby the guesthouse is a junction stop, can either take Bus S...

Been there with my wife for only one night. This is a guest house, not a hotel, nor a ryokan. And this is just one of the best guest houses I've ever used in Japan. Some bashing comments about the place led me to think some people were expecting impossible things out of it to begin with. We talk about...

Arrived around 6pm for check in after a long bus ride from Odawara station and was feeling queasy from the winding mountain road during the bus ride. The host's warm welcome and demeanor immediately lifted my spirits. She showed us to the house we were in, checked us in, gave us the option to join their breakfast buffet, explained dinner...

I travelled alone and I loved the warm atmosphere of this familial ryokan. So typical and comfortable, there is everything you need in the middle of the mountains. Bonus: my best private onsem (indoor free, and outdoor for 500y). Private: no need to share (sometimes it's good not to have to watch everybody naked...;), and full of minerals. The water...

My husband and I recently stayed three nights at this guesthouse. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful; the rooms and facilities comfortable and the company of the other guests (both local and international) an added bonus. Reading some other reviews I was concerned about only one toilet being available for the guests. In fact there are four toilets (two...

We stayed in this small family run guesthouse recently. It is very comfortable and clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. It is basic accommodation but with comfortable futon style beds. The breakfast is good and is recommended as there is not much in way of coffee bars nearby. There is an indoor onsen included which you can book for...

Considering it is a two star place, it's fine. It's clean, private onsens are fun for a change, comfortable futons and nice staff. Having typed that, it's a bit musty and very outdated, as we find with a bunch of Ryokans. We heard every sound--the baby crying throughout the night, doors slamming were so loud, the toilet flushing, people walking...

The guesthouse very much looks like a traditional guest house, which means (futon) mattress on the floor and thin walls. The latter let you involuntarily witness conversations in the neighbours' rooms; or, as it was the case, the snoring of the gentleman sleeping in the room next to mine. Be careful with the sliding windows because I was not and...

We had not stayed in an onsen before & Fuji-Hakone exceeded our every expectation. The staff were friendly and supportive, making dinner reservations suggestions, then a reservation at a restaurant that was not on their list. I was a little concerned with bathing naked, but the baths are private. They reserve a one half hour slot for you, but there...

Wonderful experience! Great having the private bath on site, it was so relaxing and wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and seemed to really care about our experience. They even provide an English-language handbook for people who are new to Japanese style bathing. The futon beds were surprisingly comfy. Only minor negative is location - it's a little...
