Stayed here for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms. Recommend people to book the highest floor with the view of river - odd room number. Also, try to ask room that away from big tour group (especially from China) was lucky to be in room 1155 that has night view. Onsen pool here has both private reserved room or public...

Hotel conveniently near the bus stop so even if you didn't book the hotel pickup, you could easily access it. We were booked with a clean & spacious japanese room facing the beautiful mountain & the river. Staffs were not very fluent with English but they were helpful to give advice on its surrounding attractions. Took the buffer spread which...

All the environment was perfect, people in the town does not speak english, this is a place to be inmerse in traditional japanese culture. I felt in love of the room, it was kind of an apartment with a living room and a bath in the outdoors. Ryokan hotels gives you traditional outfit to be around the hotel. We went...

This resort hotel is in a crowded stretch of hotels along the river. It is a twenty minute, easy walk to or from the train station. Alternatively, you can take the Onsen Loop Bus for JPY190/person to experience crowded seating and no place to put your baggage. Other than the hotels, there is not too much else in that specific...

Traveled with family, 6 adults on our package tour in the middle of Apr 2014 along the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine route and landed at this hotel for a night. The Japanese style room is clean with Tatami flooring and is well prepared to receive its guest, from the fresh white towels, all toiletries, bedroom slippers, it was welcoming to us as...

We were there for cherry blossom season in April. Nothing to do in the area. The town seemed to be closed down. The buffet breakfast/dinner was good with a lot of variety to choose from. The private onsen was great but they charged $30 for 45 minutes. We had a japanese style room that was spacious. The bed was a...

My family with children went there during the early of Autumn. The hotel is well located with good river view. A bit costly but worth paying. Private onsen (with additional charge) is also a good choice. Foods are excellent. Game arcade made kids happy. Anyway, nothing to do much around the hotel.

Very quiet, very Japanese hotel. Perhaps a bit expensive but the meals were absolutely delicious; the breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for and more. I had a Japanese room and the beds were very comfortable. The yukattas, towels, everything they gave us was fresh and clean. The duvets were very warm and oh so soft. But the best...

My room type in Ryokan-style was big. Could fit 2 adults+2children. Stuff in room is not new and a bit dusty but ok for me. I had a great experience outdoor onsen alone while snowing ^^ The buffet is good with many choices of selection(even though they don't fill the food frequently). Recommended Taraba crab leg, yakiniku beef and icecream....
