Was at this hotel for a conference being held in the Nara park conference centre and found it very handy. Within 5 mins walking from Nara train station, on the main street with lots of places to eat and drink to be found minutes from the entrance. Rooms are very clean, bed is comfortable and I was happy with the... More

On the face of it a modern hotel in a good position equally placed from the Station and Nara Park on a main street with plenty of shopping and eating spots. We were booked into a tiny double up single room at the front and were not greatly impressed but it was cheap. However , a few minutes after we... More

Location is good - about equidistant from station and Nara Park and surrounded by eateries. Staff were well-meaning and friendly, but not terribly helpful. We arrived half an hour before check in time and were sent away - surely there was one clean, free room at 1.30pm? Room was tiny even by Japanese standards with very narrow "double" bed and... More

I stayed at this hotel during a conference. It's my first trip to Japan. The hotel is on a nice street with many shops within walking distance. It's minutes away from the JR Nara Train Station, where many buses start or pass. It's about 20 minutes walk away from the Nara park and a few big temples. The hotel is... More

Very dirty, outdated, bathroom was portable and looked like it came out of an RV. Bed and pillows were rock solid, I like a firm bed but this was literally the hardest I have ever felt. Not worth it. The hotel staff hardly spoke a word of engligh. We asked them to recommend a Japanese restaurant with traditional food, something... More

I don't "get" the negative reviews of this place. I'm a single traveller, 54, in good shape. I just came here to visit my son, who lives in Nara. I just wanted a decent hotel that would serve as a base of operations. Nothing fancy. My main considerations were that it be COLD ENOUGH in the room to combat the... More

we stayed at this hotel for 1 night to see Nara, it was in a great spot, 2 minutes from the train station and a few minutes walk to the restaurants and shops, and about 10-15 minutes walk to the deer parks and temples. It was a clean hotel and the staff were very helpful.

service - very serious not smiling much hotel - feels old inside room - sleeping on that bed gave me and my husband neck-ache for 2 days (bad cushions); internet - they have this coin operated internet, do not bother to use it unless you urgently need something because it loads one page for about 2-3 minutes not even mentioning... We only stayed one night here. It's a no-frills Japanese salary man business hotel. It's a bit of a hike traveling with bags/suitcases from Nara station to the hotel. Rooms are typical of what you find at business hotels - small and functional.

Nothing wrong with it. Nothing noteworthy positive or negative. Small, slightly dingy room. Good location.
