We had a pleasant stay during our visit in Nara on December. The staffs were friendly and informative by showing us the routes to major attractions, not to mention their first class services. The room is spacious and clean. There is also free Onsen in the hotel. The dinner and breakfast were artistically presented and delicious. I will definitely come...

A Japanese style modern ryoukan located about 10 minute brisk walk to the entrance to the famous Nara Todaiji temple. The location is all about the food and the dinner in particular which is a fair keiseki style offering. There is no western food offering (apparently) but that should not be problem for any reasonable traveller. The room (tatami mat)...

We stayed in Hotel New Wakasa for two nights on September. The staff were amazingly welcoming and did everything they could to give us the best experience. Room was great and came with a massage chair. Traditional dinner served in our room while dressed in our yukatas was fun and memorable.

We spent one night at this hotel while we made a quick visit to Nara. We booked the traditional Japanese room, and I highly recommend this to every foreigner who visits this hotel. The room was very spacious and it even had a little chill out room at the back which was very nice. The people working at this hotel...

Stayed only one night in the hotel and regretted not staying in Nara for one more day. Hotel location, for me and my fiancee is great, it is located 5 mins from Todaiji and Nara Park, 7 - 8 mins from another World Heritage site the Kasuga shrine. Room is big and with a nice mountain view, service is immaculate...

Service was excellent. A staff introduced the way to the room, the way to wear yukata and use the hotspring, and even helped to plan a sightseeing route in our room. There was a hot spring bath to relax in after a long day of sightseeing. The room with 2 meals is not cheap but I guess it is about...

Very high quality room and service. We stayed in a traditional twin room which had all the amenities you should need. The breakfast was never ending and was a surprise. It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

I really can recommend this type hotel like an expirience from our travel in Japan.I know that such style is done "for tourist", but very pleasant. The staff of reception was very polite and helpful and good speaking english. You can use your own yukata (homedress - its prepared in every room) over the whole hotel. And every evening some...

My husband and I took a taxi from the train station to the Ryokan. On our way we saw so many deer! When we arrived at the Ryokan, it looked cosy, clean and beautiful. The hospitality of staff of course is unparallel! We were promptly taken to our spacious Japanese style room. The door opened to a little landing with...

The room is beautiful, traditional Japanese. It with a modern edge - very beautiful and very comfortable. The beds laid out are superbly comfy, it is...
