I stayed here recently on a trip to Nara. I found the staff to be extremely helpful. When we arrived, they had a really good map of the area ready for us (very helpful) and also gave us cold fruit tea (I forget if it...More

We did not take the meal plan when we stayed at this hotel. However, dinner is definitely served in their dining room. I do not know if some rooms also have an option for dining in the room. I would check directly with the hotel. Also, I would add that in room dining in some ryokans can be a very enjoyable experience. I don't think it is an option here.
