Room was dated and hotel parking expensive. The breakfast/lunch buffet at Asoshed was really impressive. Good location but due to earthquakes the castle and some sites were closed. Traffic was quite bad as multiple road closures.

The room was excellent and large by comparison to many we stayed in during 7 weeks in Japan. The staff were pleasant and formal. It is also right by a tram stop that goes to and from the train station and within easy walking distance of the castle. The food was ridiculously over priced, especially the unappealingly looking buffet. There's...

Nice hotel, but not superb. You must take a tram or cab to get to the train station. Tram stop on the street of the hotel. Once there, the hotel is easy walking to the castle, craft museum, two lively shopping centers with friendly restaurants.

This is really an excellent hotel, great service(though English can still be improved), great room, amazing breakfast spread with local ingredients! The location is perfect for shopping, Kumamoto Castle(can't go inside now but you can circle around it), and the Kumamon Square is right across the street! Highly recommended hotel. Please come to Kumamoto as it helps with the after-quake...

We stayed in Nikki Kumamoto for 3 nights. Hotel location beats, only a few steps you're in the very busy places with full of shops and restaurants. My window faces the Kumamon Castle, pity that it was damaged a lot during April earthquake, it would take long time to have the castle fully repaired. As I'm a big fan of...

Good location. Close to shopping streets and Kumamoto Castle. Lots of restaurants close by. Front desk staff nice and efficient. Room of decent size. Comfortable bed. Did not see/feel impact of the earthquake except when we are right outside the kumamoto castle.

This is an efficient comfortable hotel that offers reasonably sized rooms and excellent service. We managed to book the hotel at a bargain price but were still given a room with an excellent view of the castle. The location is excellent- on the A tram line from the station and opposite the main shopping arcades.

We stayed at the Hotel Nikko Kumamoto on the first leg of our trip! We were given a room that faced Kumamoto Castle and the room was very comfortable! The hotel was located near the center of the city and there was an arcade near the entrance. We were able to find our way around the city area with no...

This hotel is elegant and expensive. Location is excellent and service was refined and courteous. The room was comfortable but small and not worth the money paid. One of the pleasures of staying in a luxury hotel is to enjoy a spacious and refined lobby and bar. Both were rendered near uninhabitable (unless one wore a winter coat) by frequent...

Location is excellent! the Bell Service is also good!! It can help to solve my problem well. In my Room, I can also see the Kumamoto Castle. It is very nice view!! Excellent! Although I booked smoking room, the hotel can provide a air-refresh machine in the Room. It is nice. But the facility may require to upgrade more. It...
