Booked for early morning Shinkansen trip after hiking in Gokanosho mountains. Paid a bit extra for the double room, as traveling as a couple. Room large for Japan as the 2 X single bed "double bed" rooms appear to be at the end of the corridor facing the outside of the building hence also good city view. Staff super friendly...

Near the JR Kumamoto old side, Tram station just a few steps in front of the Hotel. Staff are good in English. Even cannot check-in before 3:00p.m, felt comfortable for they arranged all our luggages in our two rooms separately.

It's next to the JR rail and a tram stop that brings you to the castle and main artery of Kumamoto in 15mins. Room is small but clean. You will need to borrow the WiFi router (free) from the front desk for the duration of your stay however. There is a family mart just round the corner coupled with some...

Free ethernet/wi-fi service provided by a router given to you at the front desk. Helpful front desk. Surprisingly quiet. Bigger rooms than one gets in Tokyo, a little far (southwest) of the main downtown area. Standard Japanese bathroom amenities, TV, mini-fridge, etc. Nothing fancy, but above basic. No room service meals. But there are many coffee shops, convenience stores, and...

The hotel was strategically located beside JR Kumamoto station. It was equipt with basic necessities including internet, toiletries and even wake up call. One can choose to "top up" for breakfast at 780yen per person. If you are planning to take a bus to Kuramawa Onsen (bus is the okly means of transport currently due to the earthquake), the busstop...

Really spacious room with comfortable beds, fridge and seating area. Friendly staff and quick internet. Family mart and some small restaurants nearby in the station. Ideal if you arrive or depart by train as station right outside. The hotel is not the most convenient for Kumamoto town and sights as they are about 20mins walk away - easy to use...

Location: right outside the east gate, rooms overlook the train station and city Room: corner view room was great for views, esp. if you like watching the bullet trains. Comfortable and clean, double room was big enough for a solo traveller with a large suitcase, or a couple with medium bags. NB: only tea is provided in the room, no...

Echo with all positive reviews and sharing/updating the following. Hotel can be found at the east exit of JR Kumamoto Station. City tram day pass (¥500) can be purchased at the tourist/information counter near east exit and A-Line Kumamoto Station (no.3) is also right outside.

I would like to give a better mark because the overall experience was good, it's just that we paid for a non smoking room and we could smell the cold old smoke. Apart from that : - staff speaks little but enough english - well located - clean - you won't be disturbed by train noise - twin bed room...

Excellent hotel provided you get a room that does not give onto the railway tracks. Comfy rooms. Very good service and good breakfast. Easy tram connection to the city center. You can save a few bucks by having breakfast in one of the good places in the station itself (where you can also have dinner).
