the decor is great, the location is exactly where you want to be when in town, and the rooms were clean and convenient. The price is also great. However, they don't have a common room to communicate with others staying, and the toilet was rather smelly (sewage smell).

The best thing that Lohas Villa has is the location. Yes, i wouldn't consider this cheap for the quality given. I will tell you why later. Bf and I checked in only to find out that this hotel is a guesthouse. The property is hard to find, with a small sign leading to it. The lobby is at 3rd floor....

The best is they are cheap rate. Please don't trust the picture shown on the web site. You cannot imaging it was the hotel that you see on the pictures. The air condition need to pay for 100 yen for 2 hours and the washing machine need to pay 300 yen. There was no bathroom and toilet inside the room....

I am staying at the hostel right now and all that can be said is that after a month travelling round Japan this is the worst place I've stayed. The photos on their site are extremely deceptive. The hostel is shabby and not particular clean in communal areas. My room has damp and significant peeling wall paper. I complained about...

You are required to pay for the air conditioner , which would be fine ...but their air con does not work After putting in over 800yen, not once did the air conditioner put out cold air , leaving me sweating and awake all night I would never stay here again

Stayed here as part of a month long trip of Okinawa in June 2012. No idea why this has bad reviews, for the price you pay for this hostel its is probably the best I've been to! (& it is a hostel, don't think it's a hotel becuase of the photos, they have just decorated it very, very, very well)...

What makes me give it the low rating is the overall lack of security in the place. I was taking a shower, only to have someone break off the padlock and steal not only my laptop, but my Nikon DSLR camera, my iPod, and the padlock itself! The front desk did nothing to help. Christmas break ruined just like that.

I'm not normally in the habit of giving bad reviews (look at my other reviews as examples) but something does need to be said about this place considering the top write up it got in a well-known travel guide. Arrived here in Oct 2011 for four nights and had something of a culture shock, first appearing to be something more...

I stayed in Lohas Villa for four nights with my adult son. Lohas Villa is a cross between a hotel and a hostel. It has a dormitory, but also individual rooms with communal bath and shower. Most guest appeared to be young backpackers. We stayed in an individual room with bunk beds. The room was small but adequate and clean...
