The room we were allocated on the 6 th floor was spacious and very well designed. There was enough room to have two largish cases left open without being in the way,, as well as a long bench for all the odds and ends one tends to accumulate in a trip
There was some noise from outside, but not enough to disturb one’s sleep.
Staff were very helpful as well.

Informed the hotel staff who can only say it’s due to the aircon vent. This is obviously not true as the aircon was blowing in another direction. They did not even bother to check! Requested for a compensation / refund , and this was denied by the hotel.
Very unprofessional service. Staff who did not even bother to check , and did not sincerely care for the traveler’s stay at the hotel.
If you are using Morioka as a transport hub to visit other places, please choose hotels nearer to the train station. This hotel was so inconvenient as you will need to take a bus down (especially if you have luggage)/ if you are rushing for a train in the morning.
And as usual, tiny room with tiny bathroom. But this wasn’t a surprise.
The hotel is situated about 15 mins walk from the JR Morioka Station. Still within walking distance, but after a few walks, I actually took a taxi on the last day, when there was a light rain and I had to tow the luggage.
Location wise, it is on Camera Street and one street away from Main Street. Attractions like temples, castle and good eating places are nearby.
Room service was good and so are the people at reception.
The best part was their breakfast; I actually liked the breakfast buffet much better than other fancier hotels. They had all kinds of food (although mostly Japanese) and they were very delicious! I didn't expect such a nice breakfast for this hotel.
And, there were plenty of restaurants nearby which is also a plus. Don't expect any gym since it's a business hotel.
I'll definitely come back next time I come to Morioka for sure.

When using this hotel, you should always confirm the official name and location of the hotel.
There is another Daiwa Roynet Hotel about a minute or two walk from Morioka Station, but the official name of that hotel is "Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka Ekimae", not this hotel. Perhaps because all Daiwa Roynet hotels share customer information, if you make a mistake, they will tell you where and how to get to "Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka", but there is no courtesy bus, etc. If you check in late at night and they point out the wrong hotel by name, you will be fed up. This is especially true if you are carrying large luggage such as suitcases.
The hotel facilities themselves and the customer service of the staff are excellent and impeccable. Although the hotel is close to downtown, the soundproofing in the rooms is adequate, and one can hardly hear the bustle of the downtown area, especially at night. In addition, because of its proximity to downtown, there are many restaurants (especially for evening meals) and several convenience stores, so there is no need to worry about dining. On the other hand, you should not expect too much from the view from your guest room.
To enter the guest rooms, a special card key is used. This card key is also used to take the elevator to the desired guest room floor, providing extra security.
The hotel is very accessible, but as mentioned above, there are very similar hotel names, so be very careful when staying at the hotel.
When I booked the room, I emailed the hotel to ask for a non-smoking room and they said no problem. When I arrived, they told me all the non-smoking rooms were occupied and they upgraded me to twin from deluxe double. It is nearly double the size of a standard double room.
The hotel has two carparks, one with a few parking spaces next to the hotel, the other with more parking spaces behind the hotel. When you arrive at the hotel, you can get into the front desk and ask them to show you the direction.
