Directly connected to JR Morioka Station (via a department store), Metropolitan is in a perfect location transport-wise. Single room is on the small side but normal in Japanese business hotels. Service is efficient and friendly, lots of restaurants in and around the station. There's also a convenience store next to the front desk area. Slightly more expensive than a few...

Good location connected to main train station. At least one English speaking staff. Motorcycle parking. Convenience store attached. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bit bigger and slightly better appointed than typical business hotel (i.e. 2 pillows, few more washroom amenities).

Picked this hotel because it's raining that day and didn't want to lug my bags outside. Single room is rather small - but room size is published so no surprise there. It's somewhat comical when the hall way outside is wider than the room itself. WiFi and LAN internet were both fast. Everything else was fine. In fact I liked...

Larger than average modern rooms equipped with Keurig coffee maker. I agree with another reviewer that the WiFi was hopeless, but not the staff. Checked in and went directly to dinner. When I returned my bags where waiting in my room for me. their English was proficient enough to check in negotiate the stay. Breakfast had plenty of choices; western,...

Dissappointing, convenient location to Morioka station, but it appears there is not a single hotel employee who speaks two words of English - the WiFi was always either down or flickering on and off - and none of the staff seemed to have a clue of how to fix it - service was poor, rooms okay, but. This hotel was wonderful - It was roomy and spacious by Japanese standards, even having a sofa in the room. We had a view out the window of the Shinkansens going past, which hubby thought was pretty neat! The hotel is also connected to a shopping mall and the station which is fantastic when you're traveling and you also want...

This hotel is very comfortable with good view of the hills & surrounds if you get the right room. It's is also very conveniently located near the train station & other forms of public transport. Good array of restaurants under the many shops attached to the hotel.

Komban-wa Tomodachi, My wife and I stayed at your wonderful hotel New Wing in mid-April. I became sick and we had to return to the states a week early. Your people were super and made the stay very special. I was the old guy you pushed me around in a wheel chair. I wish I could recall the names of...

The Metropolitan in Morioka is ideal for the business traveller: only minutes away from the Shinkanzen, with plenty of good (and very good) restaurants in the immediate vicinity, with all the amenities that one needs for a night's stop-over, it's the ideal traveller's hotel. Efficient management, clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast (Japanese and Western) -- a very good place...
