It's very convenient as it's almost directly connected to Morioka Station, but it's a bit far from the downtown area. There are plenty of shops so you won't have any problems. The outside looks a little old, but the rooms are spacious and clean. There are plenty of electrical outlets, coffee capsules are provided, and tea is probably brewed in Nambu ironware. The bath is quite ordinary, which is a bit disappointing, but nothing unpleasant. The service is also smooth and pleasant. The breakfast has local cuisine, which makes you feel like you're in Morioka. As it's a Chinese restaurant, porridge seems to be their specialty.

The hotel is certainly very adequate and of course very convenient, but having stayed at some other more modern Metropolitan hotels, like the ones in Sendai and Kamakura, this was very spartan and far from special. It’s actually hard to believe that they are in the same hotel chain. We wanted to eat in any of the hotel restaurants but they were fully booked and would not make any exceptions for hotel guests, but being around the holidays I guess that’s not too surprising.

We stopped here on the way north. I had booked it over the Internet. The only minor dificulty I had was finding it. The "oold" wing is located right next to the train station (there are even signs that direct you there). So I asked at the desk and found the new wing just a block and a half away.

The hotel turned out to be very nice. It is a very nice business class hotel. There are newspapers waiting for you and they had even arranged a rollaway in our room by removing a couch (which we only noticed by seeing the other rooms). One of my guidebooks says the staff is "just brimming with enthusiasm." I didn't know what that meant 'till I got there. They are.

There are lots of other hotels close to the station. But I was more than satisfied with this one. Next time, if I have as many bags, I might try the slightly older but more convenient Metropolitan [old wing].

Dissappointing, convenient location to Morioka station, but it appears there is not a single hotel employee who speaks two words of English - the WiFi was always either down or flickering on and off - and none of the staff seemed to have a clue of how to fix it - service was poor, rooms okay, but. It coming back

This hotel was wonderful - It was roomy and spacious by Japanese standards, even having a sofa in the room. We had a view out the window of the Shinkansens going past, which hubby thought was pretty neat!

The hotel is also connected to a shopping mall and the station which is fantastic when you're traveling and you also want to pick up a few bits and pieces. There's a Family Mart convenience store right outside too - 24/7 so you can pick up snacks or toiletries or whatever you need at any time of the day or night.

The hotel is very clean and very convenient to the station. We were visiting the area and the hotel is convenient to the trains and buses. Plenty of restaurants close by. We only ate at the breakfast buffet which was extensive and many interesting items. I think our favorite item was the Morioka reimen which is particular to this region. Not many people speak English, so patience is necessary. All the staff was very nice and the cleaning staff really friendly. If you are in Morioka, I would recommend this hotel. We had to switch rooms, the first room had great internet connection but the second room we couldn't get a connection at all (room 953).

This hotel has the perfect location as it can be reached by walking directly from the JR Morioka station without going outside, which was most appreciated on a rainy day! Another great feature is that the hotel is signposted from inside the JR station, so you cannot get lost.

Stayed for 2 nights and the room was very satisfactory. Larger than a typical Tokyo room. Bathroom facilities were very good and clean. Beds were firm but comfortable and there is free wifi. There is a convenience store next to the hotel lobby.

You can catch the local loop bus (denden mushi) from outside the hotel for 100 yen, which is a great way to see the sights of Morioka. There is a short 10 min walk to an odori shopping street which has many restaurants and places to try one of the local noodle specialties - jajamen.

Overall, a great base to explore the city from.

Good location connected to main train station.
At least one English speaking staff.
Motorcycle parking.
Convenience store attached.
Lots of restaurants nearby.

Bit bigger and slightly better appointed than typical business hotel (i.e. 2 pillows, few more washroom amenities).

Komban-wa Tomodachi,

My wife and I stayed at your wonderful hotel New Wing in mid-April. I became sick and we had to return to the states a week early. Your people were super and made the stay very special. I was the old guy you pushed me around in a wheel chair. I wish I could recall the names of all the people who helped us. Accomendations were made for me & my chair at the breakfast buffet.
Your staff pushed me (wheel chair) to your Chinese restaurant located in other hotel Metro location & waiter pushed him back in the rain. Oh much kindness!
Hotel staff helped my wife rebook flight back to san diego/future hotel cancellations/convience store @ 4 am...whatever she asked they provided.
This hotel is very close to the station. Clean, beautiful lobby, large american style rooms.
Lovely Lobby & internet service.
Thanks so much, my health has returned. Will come to japan again.

You can be sure we will be back next year, maybe May.

Arigato, Mr. & Mrs. Rogers

We chose this hotel because this hotel is on Morioka station. You don't have to go outside of the station to enter the hotel lobby.
It is a bit old hotel, but the location distinguishes from other hotels in Morioka.
The price is reasonably set, I guess the main target is business trip guests, but definitely, you can use this hotel for Morioka city trip.
if you want to buy some local sweets just go down, there are many shops open late.
Local food restaurants are around station, famous Morioka reimen restaurant is just 5 min walk, Wanko soba is also 5 min walk.
Breakfast was served in Chinese restaurant in the hotel. There was a bit of Chinese taste but you can get good local food as well, which is nice.
The room space is average but bigger than Tokyo hotels. our room had train view, that was super nice. We spent half hour just watching trains.
