Location's perfect, a walking distance from Sendai Station that could be easily reached even carrying a big luggage; it's also at a crossroads, near a shopping area and quite convenient whichever direction you'd like to explore a little bit. We've booked a room with tatami area for 4 people, spacious enough with a little privacy. It's great to try the Japanese style as well. It's considerate to separate the bathroom from the toilet. Staff are helpful with efficient check-in/ out and luggage storage service. Breakfast is simple and I highly recommend the gyutan karee/ cow tongue curry, super delicious!

This hotel is located near Hirose-dori station. The room seems old, but clean. You can take a onsen (big bath) at the second floor. The price is around 5,000 yen and breakfast costs 1,000 yen. At night from 21:00 to 23:00, you can have free ra-men at the first floor. Totally I recommend this hotel for business or sightseeing.

The good: Free coffee and free midnight noodles were cool features, as was the proximity to Family Mart and the Shopping Tunnel where all the action was happening. Room was basic but comfortable. Good shampoo was available (Pola brand). Good selection of toiletries in room. Their parking structure is well marked once you are on the right side street, otherwise one cannot see it from main thoroughfare. The bad: Communal bath was men's only ?!? what about he women's sento/onsen? Parking Fee was not explained at time of charging card, as I was presented with a bill that was quite a bit higher than confirmation email charge. The bill needed a better explanation from staff. I requested parking in advance of stay and requested to know what the fee would be but never received a response, yet they already had me on their list of guests with cars. I feel like if hotel knows that if someone is arriving by car, that they need to give better directions to their parking lot, since we had to go to the wrong Dormy down the street to get this instruction. There are 3 other Dormy Inns in Sendai and access to this one was complicated by busy thoroughfares with very aggressive drivers and one way streets.

Booked for 3 days stayed for 10 not sure what to expect when I arrived I was most impressed by the location of the hotel next to a subway station and a 10 minute walk from the main Sendai rail station surrounded by plenty of eating establishments.and public transport at the front door the hotel has a free coffee machine in the foyer limited free meals at night not to mention the male public bathhouse why would you want to stay anywhere else the real draw card for me was the staff this is what makes a great hotel and the team at the Dori express were exceptional there to assist with any questions you may have to make your stay as enjoyable as possible well done guys I will be back
