It is an old fashioned Communist era hotel. I arrived around 7 am after flying for 36 hours so all I wanted to do was sleep. I left around 1 pm. The big plus is that it is a block or two from the airport. I do not recall it being dirty. The bathroom was down the hall. It was... More

I had 12 hours between flights at Almaty, and this was just what I wanted. 12 hours costs 5000 KZT walk-in rate (15 USD). For that you get a wash basin but no en-suite shower. Rooms are clean and reasonably quiet. There are shops and some very local restaurants a few minutes walk into town. It's described as 3 star,... More

I felt I was in prison. Everything was unclean and dirty. Show and lift broken. Closet in my room had a busted door. I woke up with bites on my arm. I was ready to run and never return. I am an American and this type of accomodation is filthy and unacceptable and should never be permitted

Cheaper than the city. Worse too. Room relatively clean, but some mosquitos. Wi-Fi works well. No hot water (warned at check in). Mattresses covered in noisy plastic wrap. Lux room required for AC and private shower and private toilet, other cheaper options available. I would try another hotel next time, I believe there is one a few hundred metres away.

Other than the fact that the hot water wasn't working ("for the past two weeks", we were told), this is a quite decent place to avoid being stuck in the airport. It's literally a two to three minute walk from the airport exit. The rooms are decent, especially if you've travelled rough in Central Asia, when they're actually a luxury.... More

Next to the airport and convenient to crash for a few hours. Wouldn't recommend for a longer stay than that. Was neat and clean, two single beds, Aircon. Get a semi delux room, the others don't have toilets or showers. Pretty basic though. Nice view of the mountains in the morning.

I would only recommend this hotel just in case you have to or you need to sleep for couple of hour and maximum you should be 2 people including kids. Pros: clean, close to the airport, literally 2 minutes walk. Cons: small balcony, very very very small 2 beds inside tiny room. Price for one night and comparing for what... More

Its the closest hotel to the airport, next to airport car park. The hotel front desk is at 4th floor, the rooms do not smell atlas , bathrooms are leaking, beds are ok, no telephone, wifi hardly works, the girl at reception was very helpful though, it is noisy, there are night flights with lot of sound and of guests... I have to be honest... This isn't the nicest hotel in the world :-)) But don't forget you'll pay 21USD for a room !!! We stayed overnight for the 2nd time in this Airport location. it's a 5 minute walk to the airport and we found it clean and well maintained although it's an old Soviet era hotel it's perfect for a 12 hour layover between flights in and out of Kazakhstan's old capitol city. They have a variety of low cost rooms that... More
