This trip exceeded all our expectations!!! We have been saving for Safari for almost 3 years. We wanted to go with a company that gave money back to the people of Africa and was highly rated in ecotourism so after lots of research we decided on gamewatchers. . Selenkay was top top notch!! I don't usually camp or like camping...

We booked this trip with Gamewatchers Safaris, and their attention to detail, professionalism, and courtesy were outstanding. Julie helped me to book the trip, and we were not disappointed. The adventure camp was in a lovely location. Once we arrived at the airstrip, we were greeted by our guides Daniel and Richard, who served us coffee, tea, and cake, and...

I spent two nights here in August and loved every minute of it, although as it happened I was the only person in camp I felt safe the whole time and entertained by the stories from the guides in the evenings. During the day the safaris were amazing, with Wilson and driver finding the best of the wildlife due to...

Selenkay was our first stop in Kenya, therefore it was our (my Father & I's) first experience of Africa and what camping in the bush has to offer. First impressions were amazing, we loved every moment which not only was due to amazing animal sightings but also our intelligent and funny guide Daniel. Our highlights were the big herd of...

We recommend the Selenkey Adeventure camp to anyone who wants to see lots of animals, experience being close to nature without the crowds. We loved this camp, our guide Daniel was knowledgeable and very friendly. We liked getting to know our fellow travelers who we ate delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner with at the same table. We saw tons of...

I visited to the camp in late July and love everything there! From excellent game drive, impressive conservation work on elephants and lions, great people, superb foods and drinks, attentive services, welcoming smiles to clean and comfortable camp accommodations! Wilson, Richard, Chef and team, please keep the good work up! I will definitely visit Kenya again!

Mini vans, particularly crowded minivans lead to mediocre viewing with the best of guides. Gamewatchers / Porini has developed a way to pair the best of game viewing with supported 'camping' to provide a remarkable value. Buy the 6-day package: private flights, two amazing areas, and all details organized and included in the remarkably low price. Open vehicles and top...

The staff are warm and welcoming and you feel like you are one of the family by the time you leave. The opportunity to drive off road is priceless and something that can't be done in the national parks. Saw lots of elephants and lions. The food is top notch so you don't need to worry about going hungry. Don't...

Sorry about the delay in writing my review.... I spent about 6 - 7 months researching different safari options in Kenya and I finally settled on the Gamewatchers Porini Adventure Camps and I am so glad I did... I could not fault the experience in any way.... The camp was great, the food was surprisingly amazing considering the remoteness of...

This is a wonderful low key place. It was very quiet when we were there, which really enhanced our bush experience. We were extremely well fed, with sundowners and picnic breakfasts. We saw many elephants, which is why I went there. We love the way the local Maasai run the camp and we had a fascinating visit to a Maasai...

The Gamewatchers Adventure Camp, Selenkay, is sited in the Selenkay Wildife Conservancy in the Amboseli eco-system. For those for whom the wildlife safari experience is more important than the accommodation, and who are prepared to sleep in small tents in sleeping bags with an element of “roughing it”, this gives an opportunity for an exceptional and exclusive wildlife experience with high quality guiding but at a much lower price than expensive up-market safari lodges. ... more   less
