We spent two nights at Kibo Safari Camp. It is a beautiful tented camp with the main buildings situated underneath umbrella acacias and the "tents" spread across the vast campsite. We had a great view of Kilimanjaro from our patio. The staff is nice and...More
Kibo is a nice camp in a good location just outside the park gate. Bear in mind there are actually no fances round the park just a gate on the road so the camp is essentially still in the park. There are fences round the...More
We stayed at the camp for 2 nights in August. The tent was very spacious, the meals were terrific, the staff friendly and courteous, the view of Mt Kilimanjaro fabulous and the massages wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was better than...More
My partner and I were fortunate to spend our last 2 nights of a 12 day safari at Kibo. It was definitely the best overall lodge we stayed at!

There was definitely coffee for breakfast, and probably tea and juice although I didn't have any. We had wine with dinner and it was quite reasonable. In the range of $20 for a perfectly fine bottle although I don't remember the exact amount. We also bought water and a few soft drinks in the bar, and it was few dollars each time for a couple of bottles. Less than we would have paid at home.

The food they serve is not Indian, but rather English and Continental. There are vegetarian options, however per meal there is usually only one or two Indian style dishes maximum. But the food is really tasty. Always lunch and dinner is different, buffet on both accounts. Also the dessert selection though small is up to standard. The restaurant service is excellent.
