During our visit in 10/2016 we found Samburu Game Lodge changed compared to 2015 : Staff, boarding, accommodation, surrounding, wildlife : excellent. Perfect location for a safari trip. We stayed in one of the bungallows facing the river ( or riverbed, because it was completely dry). Nevertheless, swarming with wildlife , from a huge gang of some 100 noisy baboons,...

During our visit in 04/2017 we found Samburu Game Lodge unchanged to 2015 : Staff, boarding, accommodation, surrounding, wildlife : excellent. So I have to comment other actual comments : Njeri M "Disastrous" : Maybe they experienced a singular accident of organisation - which may happen everywhere. Noteworthy : The name "Njeri" points to a Kenyan citizen. Nedkelly 3 UK...

Third time visit but i guess FAMILIARITY BUILDS CONTEMPT!! Booked rooms two days in advance, confirmed thrice, reaching lodge room hadn't been cleaned, had poop, dusty, full of cobwebs, dirty beddings, lax housekeepers. Gave them an hour to clean...nothing was done...totally nothing! Cleaning was done dinner time...basically i cant be back here...its a done deal!

Perfect location for a safari trip. We stayed in one of the bungallows facing the river ( or riverbed, because it was completely dry). Nevertheless, swarming with wildlife , from a huge gang of some 100 noisy baboons, to the elephants digging for water and the antelopes following them. Hotel has a nicely ornated lounge, excellent food (buffet for all...

It is many years since we stayed. On arriving a young elephant appeared to welcome us. The room had a balcony overlooking the river. The hotel very rustic, but perfect. The grounds fantastic for just walking around to search for wildlife & birds. A small herd of elephants crossed over the river. Not far to travel for wonderful safari adventures....

We started for Samburu Game Reserve at 7.30am passing through the central Kenya towns of Karatina a colonial military town during the second world war , Nanyuki and Isiolo all along enjoying the many things that were there to see and we were happy we didn't take the option of flying from Nairobi as there is an airstrip at the...
